Two Worlds Collide

Broken Window

Broken window
Replaced before
the winds brought the rains
Now we have protection
When the tears hit the panes

This glass ain’t so shallow
This wood has no grain
Still it keeps out
the cold wind
When the seasons change

And I ask is it better now
Or was it better before
Maybe a bit more protected
Still my heart's a little sore

Faded memories
Broken in the glass
Can’t have a future
If you’ve discarded the past

And my heart isn’t beating
Not in the same way it did
But it has a steadier rhythm
And doesn’t feel so dead

I asked if it is better now
Or was it better before
Even though it’s protected
It’s still a little sore

My faded memories
Thrown out with the glass
Knowing there’s no future
When you give up the past

Hard decisions
Never made in vain
The place where I’d been going
I don't ever want to see again

My heart is beating
In time it will beat strong
Somewhere in the future
We’ll find where we belong

B,

I wish they had more buttons- I wish they would add interesting to the 4 that are there- I would have certainly listed your hub as "Interesting"

It is supposed to be about healing when you are not yet fully healed, I'd say. They maybe should add a button for "confusing".

JB,

i'll stick with interesting- it is an interesting take on the healing process-You see I had open heart surgery and valve replacement triple bypass surgery- So-I have many of those same questions maybe not on a mental level- but more of a physical/mental level.

Thats why it was interesting it has more concrete meaning to me than maybe some others

Well, I'm glad it had an impact on you. Hope you are doing well with the heart healing process as well - that is a lot to endure and recover from. Thanks for the comments.
