Whatever it is that will make her happy and shows that you actually thought about her.

It depends upon your budget on what you would like to give. Here are some suggestions:
Flowers, chocolate covered strawberries, jewelry, chocolates,
a nice dinner at a fancy restaurant,   At home in the evening, soft music and candlelight and have a  tray of cheese and crakers, fruit, along with wine or juice.  Do something that she would enjoy and make the day or evening memorable and special.

When I was younger I would have said flowers or a nice piece of jewelry. Now that I have been married for 23 years I would say cooking a nice candlelit dinner, romantic music in the background with a bottle of wine. Either to cook together or have ready for her when she gets home.

    Hi,

It does depend on how much you can afford to spend but my partner often gets me flowers. Not always a bunch. Last year he bought me a beautiful flower and a small china pot - it was gorgeous. And gave me a lovely card to go with it. For me this was very romantic and a bit different.

But depending on the lady and as said earlier your pocket some ideas apart from flowers might be - a ring, necklace, ear rings, flowers, any gift in satin - see the internet for ideas on this one.

But it's worth remembering that often the fact that you have gone to the trouble of buying a gift is romantic enough for many ladies rather than the gift itself.

It depends on the age and stage of relationship but in general you can't go wrong with flowers and chocolate as long as she is not diabetic or allergic to flowers that is. Also with the flowers research or ask the florist what they symbolize and then tell your girl friend/wife what they mean and why you picked them. After all it really is the thought that counts.

You can select some special songs and make a CD. The songs could be those, that remind you of something (for example your first date), your or your partner's favorite ones. Include a booklet with comments about each song eg. "this is the song that you always whistle then feeling happy".

Other idea would be giving your girlfriend a massage. You can pair it with nice massage oil, or even make a "gift card". And of course it's important to take care of atmosphere - soft light, scented room or whatever you like.

    Hope that helps!
