Would you hook-up with an ex-lover just to have GREAT sex?

Is it cheating or simply fulfilling an intimacy void?

If neither person is in a relationship/marriage then it would not be cheating. As long as no one has promised or led another to believe they're in monogamous relationship.

Some people feel more comfortable having sex with an ex to address their urges rather than waiting until Mr/Ms Right comes along or pushing things to quickly with someone they are just getting to know.

I think it's not that uncommon for people to have sex with an ex depending on the circumstances and their understanding.

Having said that issues can arise if either person is "dating".
Awhile back I wrote a hub about such an instance.

The word cheating has many definitions, one being: to fool.

Often, indviduals cheat themselves of passion, love and commitment. All in the persute of physical gradification. I personally don't hook-up with exes. The gateway to old emotions could be potentially reopened with this act. The past, is the past, for a reason. If good sex couldn't save the relationship before, it darn sure isn't going to change things now.

Good sex with an ex is just that...good sex! I'm quite sure that if you hold out long enough someone will come along that will definitely knock your socks off.

OF COURSE ...thats a no brainer. That is of course if both are single ...and no bad karma is involved.

I'm partially sorry to say this, but yes!  If I was not in a committed relationship and needed a good time.  I would definitely contact an old friend!  I like being able to count on having a good time, and I'd enjoy being able to skip the awkward "I'm just getting to know you" stage and just get busy!
