Is it possible to train your newly wed husband or is that just a myth?

I love my husband, I really do but since we have gotten married he has gotten lazy.. is that fixable, does it go away, or is it here to stay?

If you allow him to get lazy then that is what he will always be like.

If he was always lazy then you would be pretty much stuck with it however it sounds like he has changed since you married.

Dont put up with it. Firstly try speaking to him about this if that doesnt work Stop doing things for him and let him know that the reason is because if he can not do this for you why should you be doing things for him. you could try also the no love making threat. If it is the toilet lid show him my hub on how every time you flush the toilet it sends a fine mist of urine and poo's 6-7 feet around the room.

Haha.. I'm not sure how well I can answer this Charlie, since I have never been married. I like to think that if I was I would continue to be motivated, self sufficient and respectful.
However, just to play devil's advocate..Why should us guys have to keep putting the seat up? Why won't women put it up when they are finished? Haha wink
Also you may want to check out ravenIt04.. She wrote an excellent hub on this topic (Wives, survive!)
To answer your question, I think that it is possible to fix him (cringe:) depending on the guy, and how you go about it!

He does put the lid down.. now. That took a little work, I would ask him every single time he used the restroom if he put the seat down and now he gets on to others for leaving it up.

As for laundry and dishes.. it seems hopeless.
I dont want to not do them and let everything to build up because my house will be a wreck but is there anything that I can do to get him help with that?

Thank you, I will definitely check out her hub.

Yeah, I'd agree with her. You better try to correct it now otherwise he'll probably never change. If allowed to be lazy and sit back, anyone would take advantage.

That's funny, but on the other hand, is it really that difficult to just put the seat down if he leaves it up? I don't know, I'm just trying to be fair to both sides here. Maybe you can make a schedule or something...

hmmm. i don't know about you but i'd rather not train a person to make them more compatible with me. i guess it is possible but i think it would be better to just have a heart to heart talk with him. though training does require a whip and that can be fun.

The person that you married--that's who you married.  Period.
