   If [s]he could smile while talking and listening to your stories for hours, with the exception of bed as your last result, but still feeling happy at the end of the day. Then I think it's love..

   if the relationship is based on a sexual hunger, that's lust.  It will eventually not work out after the sparks have flown and feelings become involved.  Love takes time, true love makes itself known!! Love is patient love is kind love has no record of wrong... once you get it, you will know it Good Luck!!

   You don't KNOW it, you FEEL it. Try to do some romantic activities and talk a lot. Talk about how you feel about each other, where do you see yourselves in  a couple of years, If it is love this whole conversation will bring you closer together. If it's lust It'll be like the conversation never happened. In my case love came first, and then I infused a little lust in my relationship but we still know it's not all about sex, sometimes you need each other emotionally, not just physically.

   Lust is when one is attracted to the opposite sex and make sex spontaneously. It could be a one night stand or one can frequently meet someone just for sex without other expectation.
   
   Love is patience...respect...love and lust combined is a meaningful experience of becoming one and having and feeling each other.
   
   Love can be created in other ways, this might begin after your first acquintance, after some time together.
   
   Follow your intuition and be honest with yourself.

   Lust means you want them. You want to have sex with them. You want to keep them to your own with a passion. You can become obsessed with this person.
   You can love someone without lust. You will feel desire instead. You care about them, you want them to succeed. Instead of watching them at a distance or stalking them, he/she has invited you into their home often and you two have a good connection both ways, not just one.

    I understand how confusing the two is easy especially since lust is usually the gateway means to love.
    
    It is actually a mathmatical formula.
    a+b=C
    
    A=Attracted by Physical Appearance
    B=Attracted by Personal Communications
    
    After A combines with B it ends up creating C which is Like.
    The more you obtain the growth in variable A or B then more likely C grows too.
    
    It is when that growth stops that C is defined as "liked enough" or "Love".

    You can always TELL where a person stands by their behavior!  Plain and simple!  There is no science to this!  Lust is self explanatory.  Is this the only way that they express themselves when you are together.  Do they have your best interest at heart whether you are about to have sex or not!  A woman as well as a man will always tell on themselves through their words as well as their actions!  CiaO
