Yes, I would rather have a man who's verbal with his emotions. He should be able to communicate what and how he is feeling intelligently. On the other hand, I would not like him to be too emotional -- as I think that would undermine his masculinity a bit.
There, of course are pluses for the strong, silent type. For example, the strong silent type may be a good listener. The trouble with this type is you never know for sure what he is really thinking. Also there may come a time when he lets out all of his emotions verbally -- which may not be pleasant. Even though he is not talking, he may be thinking about a lot of things.
If a man is verbal with his emotions, he's ok by me.
