    How would you define love?

Love is so many things. (You sure picked a tough one there!)
Love is a feeling. Love is sacrificing yourself for someone else. Love is wonderful and crazy. It can't be ignored. Love requires promises. Love is simple but it makes life complicated. Love makes you obsessed with someone else. Love is blind. Love allows you see someone as how they were meant to be, without their failings.

I love this quote from Shakespeare's sonnet:
"Love is not love that alters when it alteration finds, or bends with a remover to remove. Oh no, it is an ever fixed mark, that looks on tempests, and is not shaken."

Love is undefinable, sometimes its affection or pity or it may become lust.
Its an emotion you never know which route it take for expression, it might be anger of a father or tear of a Mom, You never Know.

Kate - Love and obsession are two different things. Love is a feeling, and emotion, unselfish, giving, kind. Obsession is selfish, self-centered, someone who is out of touch with their feeling and emotions and is uncontrollable. With love we would do anything for the other person. Obsession is where we would do anything to be with that person at any cost. We're not thinking of the other person's feelings, only our own.

Zainnisar - love is definable, but in so many ways and to so many people. Affection comes with love. Pity? Not sure about where that came from. Love is not negative, it is positive. Anything negative is not love.

False love is lust, affection or pity. False love can easily be mistaken for love. It is infatuation or obsession. It can lie, cheat and let you down. It isn't just the naive who have false love. You can only certify real, genuine love when you feel it for the first time...

Real love is always honest, it is compromise, putting someone before yourself, and wanting to spend the rest of your life with that person. Real love is seen rarely, usually between a Mother and her children, it is instinct and some people say it's just science. However there are some parts of love which people can't explain, it is spiritual too.
Real romantic love is even rarer to find.

Love can cause the most hurt and pain in the world, but it can also mend and heal and bring joy to our lives.
In my opinion, love is when you ruin absolutely everything, but someone still loves you anyway.

love is undefinable ....but from my opinion love means compromising, sacrificing and you should be more compatible with your loved ones. it depends on the person how he feels....
if you love someone truly or honestly it may last for long....but sometimes love hurts if it is one-sided love

Love is a word that comes in many forms.

You can love someone like your spouse.

You can love your children and caring for them.

You can love your neighbors and help them when in need.

You can love your work and devote yourself to make your company grows.

Only thing I know and will do is....

Love everything in life and you will be happy and satisfied.

I once read somewhere that love is the feeling of coming home. I think that was a beautiful way of explaining it.
