    For the married users: when did you know you were going to marry them?

    At what moment did you look at your significant other and suddenly realize you needed them in your life always?

    My hubby asked me to marry him 3 times.


    Three times, I said .............no.   I do not need any commitments.

    Then a threat to my person came,, and he lept upward towards the skies
    in my defense (((some poetic license taken)))


    SUDDENLY, I knew, that this was the one man, willing to vow for
    a lifetime to be in his partner's corner.   I could either accept him,
    or I might someday, lose him to a  ( unknown ) woman who would.

    Either way, some woman, would have one heck of a man, a steadfast friend, a good provider, a hell of a 'fix it " man........and someone to hug her, when she needed a hug.  Luckily, for him, I do not require too much comforting!

    It might as well be me...............it is no great chore to cook his meals and wash his clothes.   I have been doing this for 30 years............and in return, he has installed motion sensored lights in the laundry area.

    We, just, take care of each other.

    (yes, there is love and attraction) but it is the caretaking that holds it together.  Teamwork...............

    We were sitting talking about my job and he was very protective of me and my feelings about things. He was concerned that I was upset with my job and didn't like that I was upset.  It made me realize how much he cared about me and my well being.

    41 years later and he is still the kindest, most caring husband and best friend a gal could ask for.
