Do you think it's possible to plan a memorable wedding on a tight budget?
This should absolutely be possible. If people make an effort, they can stretch their money when on a tight budget. People who are smart with their money shop around for big savings. Also, a memorable wedding is not something soley based on money. The couple getting married should be the main focus. With the right mix of people at the wedding, the character of all those people can make the wedding memorable. The good memories should be based on the memories made with loved ones and not on money.
I am planning my own wedding, my wedding date is Aug11, 2012. I have been planning it for a year now which really helped out. I appreciated having all that time for planning, deciding, and being able to take a little break from it in between. I am doing all my won decorations, I shopped for the things I picked out when they went on sale, which is another plus for planning a year out, as the seasons change the sales do to on items. I got some great deals, I bought my flowers from hobby lobby, and found exactly the design idea I wanted for my tableware all through this well known online store.
It can be done, a inexpensive wedding of your dreams. I am proof of that. We have a big beautiful hall for a great price, a former church of mines that is more than enough space for the number of guests, a great d.j. my mother knew, a photographer that is a family member, and a caterer that is well known for statewide events but they are willing to allow us to get our own things to cut cost. Me and my fiancee' are not wealthy and what we would call well off at this time but we do want to celebrate the day with friends and family. Desining your own decor, networking with family and friends to see if anyone knows professional people that provides a service you need, planning a year in advance to catch the great deals, substituting and asking for friends, bridesmaid and family to pitch in to decorate and make appetizers. I'm having a table of foods for the kids along with activities, such as happy meals, and pizza along my making buffet line.
I have a pocket lint budget. I believe it's definately possible to plan a memorable wedding. I'm getting married July 7th of this year. Not much time left. I have found that a lot of friends and family are willing to help out some even have gently used items left over from their wedding that they are willing to give. I have also found that the discount dollar stores have inexpensive wedding items that are very nice. My venue is taking place at my parents house (outdoor wedding) that saves a ton of money. As far as looking for a dress there are wedding outlet stores that offer great deals on new dresses. So yes I do believe it's possible to have a memorable wedding on a tight budget.

It most certainly is! A wedding is about a celebration, not spending ridiculous amounts of money. There are all sorts of inexpensive ways to make your special day memorable. For example, my friend is buying a used dress. It's absolutely magnificent and half the price!
Yes it most certainly can be accomplished because my wife and I's wedding was not terribly expensive and neither was the honeymoon. I am thinking that the ways her and I saved money on our wedding would make a great hub so I will endeavor to do that. Granted we said our vows in 1993 but I think some of the same thinking can be applied to 2012 just as well. Great question and I shall follow this to see the outcome.
