Chick fil A - what's your opinion on the CEO's views and comments about the gay community?

Do you think he's in the right or wrong since he represents such a large corporation?

He has a right to have and express his beliefs and or opinions just like everyone else. People know that is a Christian based company so idk why people are so surprised or upset.

because the bible clearly states in Leviticus 18:22 & 20:13  that its an abomination.  if you are not christian then you wont necessarily agree. but that has NOTHING to do with love its just in ur belief system. which doesnt mean its right

The Bible says a lot of things we find unacceptable today. Stoning a wife who is found not to be a virgin, for instance (Deut 22:13-21) or killing people who work on the Sabbath (Numb 15:32-36). Clearly 3,000 yr old morality needs some updating.

Basically u find it unacceptable that homosexuals are not equal in marriage rights. That's fine you are entitled to your beliefs as is everyone else

That's fine, people can believe whatever they want, but it doesn't make it alright to take those beliefs and try and dictate how other people live their lives.

hes no dictating their lives he simply stated his opinion and beliefs. the purpose of sex is to reproduce so if women were for women or men for men they would b able to reproduce. people vote on all sorts of things this obviously is no different

I think he is correct. The original creator of Chick-Fil-A, Truet Cathy, believes in the same thing. The corporation was created based on Christian beliefs and a method of serving food. Not every business is just profit.

Since when is debating the definition of marriage 'homophobic'? Someone, somewhere decided to make the terminology a issue and furthermore it's being framed such that if you don't agree with the left view, you are automatically branded a hateful bigot. The man was asked a question and he answered it honestly.  It should have been left at that.  I don't care if the man is for or against gays getting married.  Personally I think they should.  If two people love one another and they want to spend the rest of their lives together, then it should be u to them if they want to get married or not.  But as far as what the CEO said, I would care less.  He has his opinion and I have mine.  Also, people need to read up on the First Amendment, before they go spouting out that this is a First Amendment issue.

I have no issues with gay/lesbian marriage, people should have the right to be with whoever they choose.  Nobody else should have the right to tell anybody who they can love, I firmly believe that.

I also firmly believe that a person has the right to voice their opinions on a subject.  Running a business does not take away that right, so I support chick fil A for being honest.  Many important people say what they think others want to hear, but Cathy gave his views when asked.  He knew the remark would not be popular in some circles, but he wasn't willing to lie in order to make money.  He stood up for his beliefs and I respect that, even if I do not share the same view.
