    What AreYou LISTENING?

What are you listenin1)Music? nags? neighbor's fight? friend's arguments? news broadcast on the tube? pitter patter raindrops? crickets calling? water dripping? Someone's heartache? dogs barking? waves calling? sound of construction? steak sizzling? blender working? children's play shout's? a heart beat? Someone snoring? your noisy mind?
2)which sound do you hope to block out immediately?
3)which sound do you yearn particularly at this moment?

Once upon a time I blocked out the majority of what my ears heard.  Now that I'm older I hear everything but only listen to a few things.

      Hi Vonda,
That's a good tactic. Listen when we should. Yet hear all the same. It's what they call "two ears".

I usually listen everything. As we are human being, so we must listen everything. I don't want to listen the sound of crying. No one must be in pain, although I know it is impossible, but this is the thing that really hurts.

      Anupma,
Thank you for sharing your views! Yes, if we can choose the things we want to hear; that would be great but that's not how it works:( But if we can separate listening and hearing; like what Vonda does, it's a lot better.
