It depends on what you're eating. If you are eating something with a red sauce or a red meat, go with red wine. White sauce, white meat, white wine. I think the season has a lot to do with it as well. If it's winter, I like to curl up with a nice glass of red wine. I'm a cab-sav fan myself, but a good merlot can hit the spot. If it's a nice summer evening on the patio or a sunny afternoon, a rose is perfect. It's chilled and fruity, and even better when there is fruit in it!
