    Do you have single phobia?

Is the fact of being "single" bothers you? Would you rather being with someone then the right one so you don't have to be alone? And if you are happily in a relationship, do you look upon your single friends as if there are something "wrong" with them?

Fortunately, no.  I am now permanently in a "state of single blessedness" (Jane Eyre, by Charlotte Bronte) after two marriages and two divorces.  There isn't anything wrong with being single.  Most people are at some point in their lives, either in the beginning or at the end, or both.

Single is awesome! I mean, we're social animals so I do like interaction but I walk alone mostly. I practice celibacy, abstinence ... I have no children ... I just walk around and live Life, it's great! (I am sure many people look at me and think that there's something wrong with me but hey: to each their own - that's what I say.)

I really enjoyed my single days! Being married or in a relationship has it perks as well. Deep down I suspect there are people in both camps that would love to swap places. :-)

I more have "married phobia" at this point - at least when it comes to myself.   The last person I'd ever want would be "any-old-body" just so I wouldn't be alone, and I'm not even particularly interested in anyone more "right" than that either.  I don't judge other people, and I generally assume everyone does what is right for him/her at the time.  I don't assume single people "have something wrong with them", and I don't assume married people (even those married to people I wouldn't give you two cents for) have anything wrong with them either.  (Well, I do kind of judge those questionable spouses, don't I....   But that's a different kind of judging.   smile  )

No, I do not. After a failed marriage due to dishonesty, and a relationship after my divorce that failed also because of dishonesty, I am scared to death of not being single. A relationship without trust is not a relationship at all. I would rather be single than have someone constantly hurt me everyday with such dishonesty. Yes it does hurt to break it off for quite sometime, but it is better in the end rather than letting them hurt you everyday.

No, I would rather be single than be with someone who isn't right for me.

I rather be single than with the wrong person.  Being with the wrong person can demoralize someone to the point it could take years to feel right again.  What is the "right person" or who for a better word? That in itself is another mystery. How do you think someone would find the "right person"?

Thank you everyone for your participation! It's quite interesting to see the majority of you who answered this question are in the happy single camp, lol. All of a sudden I don't feel quite so alone or strange! Welcome to the club of the happy singles xo
