It's immoral and people get hurt and damaged by it. If you feel the need to cheat than leave the person rather than get everyone involved so hurt.
Adultery is cheating in the worst way there is. It is the most devastating of ways to cheat a human being. Forgiveness is almost impossible since it cannot be undone and even with forgiveness the memory is never erased.
Everything . . . It goes against God's laws, betrays, hurts, threatens marriage union, causes insecurity, destroys trust, puts innocent children's lives at risk of losing the love and care of both parents, could result in murder, could lead to unwanted infectious diseases. To name just a few of its wrongs
Asking what is wrong with adultery is the same as asking, "What's wrong with lying or breaking promises?" If your (word) means nothing then your value is nothing. Adultery implies (secrecy), (deception), and (betrayal).
There are people who believe in having either open marriages or polygamy. Both are bettter "options" then lying to someone and pretending to be loyal to them.
It's a social disease. A social disease is destructive to society. It breaks homes, damages properties, produce bastards, wrecking the future of children; producing would-be criminals and prostitutes, misdirected citizenry and liabilities of society, among others. It creates a clan of other social illness. It makes society, a society of unthinking brutes rather than rational humans.
It destroys trust between a couple, nurses an environment of jealousy and hostility, has the potential to cause unwanted offspring/attachments/responsibilities outside the original relationship, and is a fantastic way to spread disease to your long-term partner without them knowing... I'd say quite a bit. That being said there is a difference between adultery and having an open relationship. People come in all combinations and what works for one might not work for others, but that's no reason to judge.

Do you think forgiving transgressions saves relationships or destroys them?I have seen too many loving couples split up after some transgression by either party after a moment of madness. They both regret it later and wished they could've stuck together. Is it possible for a relationship to survive...

What does the New Testament say about divorce and remarriage? Is there any ambiguity in what Jesus and Paul said that might point to different interpretations? (Can Scripture have multiple interpretations, and, if so, who's right?)And further, why do divorce and remarriage get a relative pass from...
