Do you trust your children to go in a public bathroom alone?
What age is appropriate for children to go in a bathroom without parents in public? Do you worry the entire time they are in there? Do you talk to your kids about being safe in bathrooms with all the child predators that are out here?
My boys are 7 and 9 and they are allowed to go in the bathroom without me. They always go as a pair, never one only unless of course I only have one with me. They have already had ever imaginable age appropriate talk. They know they are to speak to no one and they know they are to go in and get out as quickly as possible. Personally (with no offense to other mothers) find it weird for children over the age of 5 or 6 to be in the opposite sex's bathroom.
I agree with you there it is weird however to keep our children safe sometimes I feel its appropriate. The word is such a nasty place and I can just imagine my little man in the restroom trying ti fight off a pedophile and it make me sick to my stoma
i think if you consider them.as kids for too long they might never grow up so give them a bit of breathing space. Keep a close eye but dont follow them around everywhere inclusive of public bathrooms.
Thanks for your comment. I appreciate a male perspective. I try and let my little man be just that however its hard as a mom when you see all.these stories about children being kidnapped and molested.
When my son was little he always used the public toilet with his dad that was the safest and still is the safest.
I agree with you however when I take my son out most of the times dads at work. I usually just stand by the door to the men's restroom. Other than there has to be a point where its safe for them to go alone what do you think? Thanks for your response

At what age will you let your child go into a public restroom alone?I am a mother of a 12 year old son and I am very nervous about mall safety. I don't allow him to go to the bathroom on his own. When he is in there on his own, I have no idea what is happening.

Lawsuit Planned Over North Carolina's Ban on Transgender Bathroomshttp://flip.it/2VvUMI'm posting about this because I legitamately don't understand the controversy in several ways. Problems:1.) Do we want transgender bathrooms? 1a.) Shouldn't the goal be for people to use whichever bathrooms...
