Being Nice VS Being Kind
I think sometimes there is a difference. What's your opinion?
Being "nice" is easily faked. You can hate someone and still smile and be nice until they leave your store/presence/area. This sort of behavior just makes life easier in a lot of ways. For instance if you are working at a store and a really obnoxious person asks where something is it's probably best to show them rather than argue with their attitude because that will get them out of the way quicker.
Being kind on the other hand requires the kind person to actually care about whoever they're being kind to. It'd be like someone giving money or food to a homeless person on the street. Someone faking being "nice" isn't going to see any reason why they should do something for a homeless person they don't know and may never see again. Only a kind person would do this - out of empathy for another human being.
Being Nice is inward quality, one can realize when they come closure to you
Being Kind is outward quality, one can realize this from outside

According to you, why it's important to be a nice human being?

Does it make sense being nice to people when the world appears to be so cruel? There are times you go out of your way to be courteous and some people are downright crude and brusque. And there are those who use bully and devious tactics and seem to get ahead in life.

If you were to choose between "being nice" and "being truthful", which one would you choose?

Once I got dumped for being too nice at the time I thought it was a weird thing to say. However as I'm getting older (and more sceptical) I'm thinking maybe you can be too nice. Maybe it's seen as a bit creepy. Was just wondering if anyone else had any thoughts on this.
