Relationships are definitely tricky. Among the many things that can cause nervous breakdowns, relationships are certainly one of them.

In my opionion yes relationship issues can in fact lead to a nervous breakdown, Esp when one of the couple is the one taking all the slack, and feeling all the guilt and hurt because the other dosn't feel what you think he or she should feel.

Tensions build, as you try to please the other partner, only to find your always on the down side of the sea saw, as you watch the one you once loved turn into a complete stranger before your very eyes.

I would be seeking professional councilling for the pair of you, to try to sort out these issues before they do infact lead to a nervous breakdown, because once you crack you never come back quite the same.

    Take care

Yes, and I stand behind this 100 PERCENT. Any situation when you are feeling such ephoria " good feelings" about your relationship and then they are shut down. That can lead to "crying spells", "mania" "depression." I WOULD know!

Tell him that you are hurting with that, and if she still continues to neglect what you feel, ask yourself, if she/he have been like that when you met them, they are difficult to change. But let them know you're hurting with what they are doing.
