Find someone who shares the interests you have and become friends first. Not necessarily only friends, but do become friends. Laugh and have fun, occasionally talk about deeper topics, and always treat people with the same respect and way you would like to be treated.
Be a gentleman and be respectful.
Treat your date like a lady.
Open the door for her. Let her go first.
Be attentive but don't smother her.
The list can go on and on. Just be a nice guy. She'll like that.
I have a couple of hubs on this. Take a look.
Everyone's given you some good advice. Also, remember to just be yourself -- don't put on airs and try to take on the persona of someone else. Be sincere and don't try to hide your true personality. If you're funny and your date doesn't like humor, that's their problem. Move on to someone who does. Have fun!
I have wrote some hubs on that subject, check 0them out:

my last partner took me for an icecream for our first date, which i paid for my own, then we walked for 7hrs along a beach, had a coffee, then stood looking at the mQQn an talked another hour, sat in car for couple hours talking then went fishing the next day.. that one date lasted nearly 2yrs.. we only had 3 things in common, and it was awesome honest and we respected each other. negative friends ended it, not us.
my advice is.. yes coming from a woman..
treat her like a lady and be honest, sincere and show respect.
doesn't matter where ya go on a date or what ya do, just be genuine and never pretend to be something you're not.
a date can be anything anywhere just keep it real with NO expectations except to enjoy the company and laugh with each other. and never let others tell you if the person is right for you or not.. they're just jealous especially if you're happy an they're not.
good luck to anyone who dates.. (kiwi men don't haha)
@longhunter.. nice to see some men still believe in chivalry.. it sure does go a long way
Hi! I did a hub about fun dates for everyone on my site
!
Fun activities for rainy days and more !
Always be yourself...don't try and pretend to be something you're not or you will attract what you portray, then wonder why they don't accept you for who you are.
Don't take it too seriously too soon, and don't try to force anything to happen, just go with the flow, relax and enjoy youself and let the relationship set it's own pace.
Dating with a single agenda of ending at bed together at night is bad.
did any advice really helped anyone ever in this topic of dating , the acute personal projection one tries out and messes up
This person I've dated told me something once, something that immediately struck me as the Truth. So I'm gonna tell you this now: all women want to know they are SPECIAL, and all men want to know they are the BEST. It seems like a generalization, but I think it's the most insightful thing I heard about genders blah-blah-blah. It's not a trick (like: tell them what they want to hear), it's a very real distinction between male and female self-perception.
So - the bottom line: if you're dating a woman, never EVER compare her to other women, even if the comparison is in her favor. If you're dating a man, never EVER question his ability to be the best, he needs to know that he's always one-upping other guys.
