Since humans created date sites, both online and offline, then why

      Clearly this is a joke.
      However the purpose of such niche online sites is for people who want to meet others that similar backgrounds, interests, or fall into a particular category whether it be age, race, or religion. Entrepreneurs are always on the look out to create businesses that address needs or desirers in the marketplace. Lots of Christians claim they are looking to date or marry other Christians. Sounds like it was it great idea to create site for such people.

      I'm fairly certain seniors did not create "Senior People Meet.com" or "Our Time.com" either. :-)

    It irritates me when I hear that commercial. He did not create the dating service. Humans did.

    Im sure there's nothing wrong with it... but it's probably not different than most other sites in that it is simply a way to meet ppl of the opposite sex.
