In 2005 a man took his ex-girlfriend to court for mental anguish and deceit.  His complaint challenged the laws governing child support in America.

The circumstances surrounds his then girlfriend who after performing oral sex on her partner held the sperm in her mouth, using a test tube she injected her boyfriends semen inside herself.  The woman ended up conceiving in which she later obtained a court order forcing her ex-boyfriend to pay child support for their daughter.

This long running battle seems to be a hot topic. Should he have to pay child support under such sneaky conditions?

In the end the courts ordered the man to pay around $800 a month child support in spite of his ex-girlfriends dishonest measures. Nonetheless the fact still remained that because he was the natural father. Support arrangements needed to be upheld. Is this fair?

It is certainly unfair, but there is the element of the child (who was not a party to the scam) needing support.  But it seems very unjust for the woman to profit from what she did.

I agree psyceskinner. I think this woman had some serious control issues. What on earth will she tell her daughter if she should ask about her dad.

    This is a weird issue.

That man didn't do anything that would normally result in pregnancy. He shouldn't have to pay child support.

A woman gets raped, and is allowed to give up the kid for adoption, and terminate her parental rights.

Why shouldn't this man be able to terminate his parental rights?

You raise a good point janesix.  It appears as if this man was violated. What a disturbing thought.

Was the semen stolen, then used for blackmail?  In a way, yes.
