Hey there,
Might seem like an odd question to some (maybe all) of you, but seriously, how can a male not get confused by this stuff one sees and hears every day around him? I'm a guy who's really not into all the "bi-curious"/bisexual stuff women seem to have nowadays, I just want a truly straight woman. But am I just fooling myself, or what? It seems like *every* girl out there has lesbian tendencies, and to be honest i'm sick of it. I know a lot of guys might find it hot and all, but not me. So, why are there so called "straight" girls who watch lesbian porn, masturbate to other women, fantasize about other women, make out with other women, hell, even have *sex* with other women, and still call themselves "straight"? That's not straight in my book. So, are the majority just plain bisexuals, or am I being mentally screwed by the media and is the vast majority of the female gender exclusively straight, after all?

  I'm 100% woman. No, no way, no how would you catch me doing anyhting with another woman. I avoided having many girl "friends" in high school because I witnessed them skipping down the halls holding hands, etc and I thought that was creepy. I think I'm bisexual phobic or lesbian phobic, but if it doesn't have a penis (a real one) I'm not interested and never have been curious even in my college years.

  Dear Admin Staff: Here's Another One! If You consider what I SAID earlier in this thread was a 'Personal Attack' and worthy of removal... Then I would suggest that you (heaven forebid the use of that word) firstly Understand what was happening and what was said!
  
  This Entity has (in my view) made a personal attack on the entire female membership of this site (allbeit in the form of a generalisation made above). Clearly, the moderator here feels that it is okay for Spammers to enter our forums for the sole purpose of making derogatory or irrelevant posts.. then perhaps that is the very reason Why we are bombarded with such trash!
  
  This Entity, like hundreds before it, has merely made a post here and then moved on without any further involvement! There was NO Personal Attack on that party by me... The Advice given was Valid.
  It is also Valid advice-wise, that some Consistant Effort is made on the part of this site to 'Moderate' the entry of such non performing, spammy entities that appear to have free reign here and appear protected and rewarded in their efforts. Did we not almost loose all the site's works to a similar type of entity recently?

  More in-depth answer: You aren't a victim; you are letting your own mind get screwed by the media. We all know the media do whatever it takes to generate attention, so that they can earn money. Knowing that, you should take a critical look at whatever the media says.

  No. That is a myth many men love to believe in but it isn't true. There are many bi-sexual women and some lesbians but there are also many straight women like myself that are turned off by the female body.

  Perhaps you should check your heart and not allow so many to influence you. You need a narrower path for direction; perhaps if you are young you can find a youth group at a local church. Or if you are older you can find a single's group at a local church. Chaos breeds chaos and I think that is the result of your experience. God bless!

However you want to label, is how you want to label. And who you want to date is who you want to date.

Is a woman who pleasures herself to lesbian porn a lesbian? Not in my opinion.

Why worry about others opinions? Just have your own.

You say that "It seems like *every* girl out there has lesbian tendencies, and to be honest i'm sick of it." but then wonder if it is the media telling you this. Have you had actual experiences where a woman/women you have dated had experience with other women? Or are you just watching movies and think every chick is a lesbian?

Like I said, sexual orientation is a scale. So while I have thought of what a woman looked like naked, or thought a woman was beautiful, I have never kissed nor had sexual relations with one. I think both men and women are curious and interested to a certain point. But some take it further than others. Whether that deserves a label is up to you.

  Right. There is nothing wrong, as a woman, with admiring another woman's physical being....just like there is nothing wrong, as a woman, admiring a man's physical being. Does it mean I'm gay because I think Melissa Milano is smokin'....nope, it just means I admire how she stays fit and beautiful and maybe I can strive for that as well.

not sure of your age, but it sounds like you're too into media which always sensationalizes everything.

there are plenty of straight women alive and well, at least all that I know! start looking in different places.

  It is not at all uncommon that, at a certain age, a person of either gender tends to be very experimental about sexuality. I know I was! Should also bear in mind that we heterosexual men tend to offer a certain amount of our attention to women who are particularly young. Therefore to us it may seem a certain way when women our age do not see it that way. Also, Rebekah, don't mean to stereotype but I think women are more open about their fantasies with men than men are with . . . well, men:)

  Yes, I think that's true, to the point where some girls try it even though they don't want to, because it's "cool". Also young women are curious about sex in general, and playing with female-to-female relationships is seen as a safer way to experiment.
  
  Take away the trendy aspect and the majority of women can appreciate the beauty of another woman, but they're not interested sexually.

This topic is subjective to people's interpretations of the own understanding of Life, which could be skewed or true.

Are all women really bisexual? Yes, only if they want to be. They are attracted sexually to another woman, it is a choice to engage that person. If they are not, then obvious they will not engage.

But, the 'label' of bisexual only exists for separation purposes and not any other reason, because someone's sexual orientation has nothing do with what other people think.

  The fact that you are trying to read something into my statement isn't proper. There is nothing to read into what I said.
  
  All women by nature are sexually charged, gender doesn't play a factor, when sexual passion or attraction, hits oneself.
  
  Therefore- Yes all women are bisexual. Many choose not to act on the feeling they get and/or deny to others that the feelings exists, so they can be accepted into society, as a person.
  
  That's just an opinion. Because the question itself is a psychological and biological question wrapped into one. Therefore, any answer is bias or subjective to begin with.

  Maybe there's nothing wrong with it "for other people", but when it comes to one's own partner, a whole lot of heterosexuals want to know their partner is completely heterosexual, with no "iffiness" or questions about it. As with so many other sexual preferences, it's just a preference a lot of people can't change.

No, not at all. It's even weird to ask because it's so far from the truth. Sorry you've run into so much of it, don't even want to think where you've been looking! But it's being pushed a lot so I guess young women think men will like it. It's true that there are way too many jokes about men getting all turned on by the thought; maybe the jokes are backed by truth but I hope not.

I'm not sure how this is an attack. I surely don't think of it as spam. It seems to me it is just someone who expressed an opinion and had nothing else to say.
I personally think there is a bit too much moderating of everything. I personally am tired of someone pointing a finger at me and then having my hub score go down the toilet because my hubs have to be examined over a period of DAYS.
Mind you, hub scores generally don't mean that much to me considering they have very little to do with the quality of your writing BUT I DO think it would be nice if my score was back up to where it was before someone had a total of almost two dozen of my hubs flagged within the past 6 weeks and on only two days.
Anyway, my guess is that unless someone thinks the post you are complaining about is going to potentially cost the company MONEY nothing will be done.
That seems to be a big factor here . . . which is one reason why I was at a 89 about to breach 90 and now I am a 63.
Whatever. I get paid to actually WRITE (not to advertise) in other places so I truly don't care.
I just think it's a shame that people can't say what they want on an American-owned site. Seriously, I DO see that this person made a generalization but I don't think you need to worry about it.

This will probably go over like a lead balloon but what the heck.

I think many, maybe most, maybe all, women would have a lesbian experience under the right circumstances -- and that doesn't mean being drunk or drugged up. However, religious beliefs, various inhibitions and a definite attraction to men prevent some women from even imagining, let alone believing, it could happen. Of course if a woman did have a sexual encounter with another woman it still wouldn't mean she's bisexual.

Like heterosexuality and homosexuality, bisexuality isn't a temporary condition. You either is or you isn't.

  Well put, tantrum. Who should care, after all? I went trough the typical college bisexual adventures because I found/find women to be lovely creatures. But I am finally a heterosexual woman in a 23 year old relationship which has provided me with all the satisfaction I've ever sought.
  Women, however, still hold a special attraction for me, though I no longer act on such impulses.
