   I just read it, and left a comment--congrats on 22 years with your wife!
   
   I didn't mention it when I commented, but your story is eerily similar to mine and my husband's...except we got married two months after we met, lol...
   
   Our 22nd is a month after yours, though--'88 must have been a good year, huh??? I already had two children, and we had a son together, born in '89, also! 
   
   How lucky to be still in love after this many years...

   I have written a true story, its a sad one but the comments have greatly helped the family of this poor boy.  I have kept it short and to the point.  Your support by commenting would be appreciated as you will see that amazingly the boys sister has seen it and now is a regular commenter below the story.  I will also visit ur hubs and comment to show my gratitude.

         The norm is someplace that is going backwards.
         
         From when we first met almost everyone that we know who married got divorced and some of them two or three times.
         
         I like to think we defied the odds and in our relationship we are above the norm.

   Yep 22 years is an achievement, I'm halfway there at 11 years and never get tired of my mrs, er well only when she nags but don't tell anyone shhhh!

    Thank you very much everyone.  Every word I said about my wife I meant but still I feel I didnt portray her properly.

       No Mamelody.  I am actually from Canada and I am not Nowegian but never the less I find it very easy to be a good husband consider.  having a perfect wife makes that so much easier.

       It really is a shame how many relationships dont last these days.  It really is because divorce is the easy way out.
       
       My wife and I could have taken this route at some tough points in our marriage but to us making things work were more important and I am so glad we made the right decisions.

    Dale you are a lucky fellow indeed. Zena and I had 23 years 10 months and 9 days of marriage before I lost her to cancer. Done some hubs about that too... Enjoy and treasure each and every day...GBY Both
