Is the person who is uninterested in the relationship the bad guy or is the bad guy the one who stays anyway and settles for an emotionally distant relationship ? This mix-matched relationship is steaming high with tension that flows throughout the family and even strikes discord in public.
That's because it is not much of a relationship. One is out to prove they dont need to invest in the relationship and the other is out to prove they can get the attention they crave even though the other wont give it. Sounds more like a spiteful battle of the egos than a relationship.
I think that when we are involved in relationships we are too close to the situation to see things clearly. Thank you fellow Hubbers for giving me open minded feedback in ways that allow me to see things with common sense.
