The Painful Truth About Domestic Violence and Abuse

We had such an outpouring from our HubMobsters that we've had to publish a second hub to accommodate all of the responses.  The Painful Truth About Domestic Violence, Part 2 is a continuation of the HubMob topic on domestic abuse.

The topic seems to have touch off a lot of sensitive issues for people.  Many of our HubMobster found that writing on the subject was therapeutic and they have bared their souls in some of these hubs.

We want everyone living with domestic abuse to know that they are not alone and that they can stop the cycle of violence.  There are ways to escape.  Perhaps the most important thing for all to remember is that they deserve better.  Much better.

Thank-you for visiting our HubMob.  After you're done reading, please take a second to leave our HubMobsters some feedback.

Yes, it is definitely a release to write about the abuse one suffers. These are all good hubbers and hubs, but there are also many more that have written about domestic violence. It is sickening how people don't realize that they don't have to be abused, that there is an exit, that there is more to life than being someone's whipping post. It is so much easier to walk away than a person realizes.

Advisor, everything you've said is true. Unfortunately, people don't leave until they're ready or feel their life (or their kids' lives) are in imminent peril. The emotional and mental holds are stronger than the physical ones.

I would love to see the day that there is no more abuse. Sadly, I know that won't likely happen, at least in my lifetime.

Thank-you for your comment.

Thanks for adding my last hub Shirley. Wow, the HubMob has definitely provided a wealth of information along with personal testimonies to anyone who maybe seeking it. Of course, as you said it will only help those that are ready for help. Thanks again, for all your hard work...

You're welcome, MG.

I agree with you about this particular HubMob providing especially needed info. The personal testimonies are, I think, the most helpful to people in the same or similar abusive situations.
