Why women like Bad Boys?

Updated on June 17, 2011

Have you ever wondered why some women are so attracted to bad boys?

Bad Boys have a very bad reputation, they are dangerous; but most women cannot resist their charm even when they know that they might end up hurt. With their hot looks, their self confidence, their power to attract women even when they don’t try, bad boys can be incredibly sexy and challenging.

For me, being a bad boy it is not about treating women like dirt. Being a bad boy is about being confident, self assured, having a rough look, protecting your women. Remember ladies, there is a fine line but a big difference between a bad boy and a jerk.

I cannot speak for everyone, but here you can find out why I find bad boys so attractive.

Because they are inaccessible.

A bad boy is not easy to catch. You might succeed at getting him into your bed but getting him to stick with you and only you is an entirely different matter. Bad boys are challenging, and because we cannot have them, we want them more. We want to be special; we want to be the girl who is going to make them fall madly in love. What can be more challenging than making Mr. Bad boy go completely head over heels about you? What can be more ego boosting than transforming a wild bull into a tame rabbit at your feet?

Because they are incredibly Macho

Bad boys are usually big and strong –at least compared to us- and they make us feel little and protected at the same time. You know that when you are out and about with your bad boy no one will dare touch you.

Because they are mysterious.

Women are curious beings, we are attracted by mystery. Bad guys are never open books, they are always “hiding” something; whether is their origins, their weaknesses or whereabouts, they always have secrets and us women are attracted to that aura of mystery, we are attracted to that dark side that we have not yet discovered.

Because bad boys love taking risks

And we love risks too! You know that with a bad boy the word routine doesn’t exist.  He will always be doing something new and risky, whether is taking you for a motorbike bike ride, a surfing weekend or simply a rock concert, you know that your days with Mr. Bad boy will never be boring.

Some legendary Bad boys

Some of the most legendary celebrity bad boys, whether it is for their public bad behaviour, explosive bad temper, their tattoos or their “I don’t care” look are:

Russell Crowe

The Australian actor has a temper so explosive, that he was arrested for throwing a phone at a hotel employee’s head when he couldn’t help him place a call.

Colin Farrell

The Irish actor who has been involved in all kind of scandals from addiction with recreational and prescription drugs to sex tape scandals is one of the sexiest and most desired men in the world.

Jude Law

This British bad boy is a heart breaker with his philandering ways. Not long ago he was arrested for attacking a photographer.

Jesse Metcalfe

The pretty Jesse is known not only for his acting talent but also for his alcohol abuse and flirtatious behaviour.

Johnny Depp

Famous for his tattoos, drug abuse, hotel trashing and high-profile romances, Johnny Depp is probably an exception in the list of bad boys as he seems to have settled down to become a family man with Vanessa Paradis.
