~ Psalm 24 ~ Spiritual Journey From the Beginning To The End Of The Psalm ~

This is an extraordinary, enlightening, encouraging Psalm of Power and Hope! It is a rich fragrant, spiritually enriching, and mesmerizing masterpiece! Here we graciously yet confidently are reminded that God is the ultimate source of power and authority! David elegantly and magnificently exudes a brilliant sense of luminous spiritual light and assures us that God reigns! This Psalm contains an impressive theme of Celebration and Praise!

There is Power in Praise! We must exalt the Lord in both our daily and corporate worship! Whenever we congregate together for assembly the LORD should always be the main One that is most honored as we Rejoice and Worship Him “In Spirit and in Truth!

God has a plan for each of our lives!

Adam & Eve sinned in the beginning and disobeyed God therefore sin entered the world! They allowed themselves to be deceived by satan. Every since they sinned, sin continuously attempts to derail us from reaching our life’s potential. Out of God’s great LOVE for His people He has made a WAY back to Him! This is why we so need His precious Holy Spirit! HIS Love & HIS Mercy endures forever! JESUS CHRIST is the WAY the TRUTH and the LIFE! He conquered sin in the flesh to show us the WAY to the Father! Within His sinless flesh He was the only perfect representative of both God and man! JESUS CHRIST was divine!

Jesus Christ’s death on the cross denotes the crossroad to GOD’S plan of SALVATION! We have been redeemed! “Let the redeemed of the LORD say so!” PRAISE GOD! The cross points encourages us to live a vertical life pleasing to the Lord! We must seek Him continuously for guidance to properly navigate through this maze of life! Upon acceptance of Jesus Christ His precious Holy Spirit awakens within us and is infused into our souls to become our Comforter, Spiritual Guide and Wonderful Counselor through life to Eternity!

The Psalmist David knew the significant importance of consistenly worshipping and praising the LORD! The Psalm are songs of praise to GOD! David recognized the Lord as His Creator, Redeemer, Provider and Sustainer! This is why he was one of the most powerful kings to have ever lived! We in turn must spend time in the Presence of the Lord and ask daily for Him to fill us with His Holy Spirit. This is how we grow in HIS Grace & Knowledge!

The children of Israel were God’s chosen people. Within His Word are many marvelous and miraculous situations where He demonstrated His Love & His Power to them and many others! He led them through many tumultuously journeys & battles! They would sing Songs of Praise before going into battle. We can learn from their pilgrimage what happened when they obeyed God and what happened when they disobeyed God! They wandered in the desert for forty years due to their disobedience yet the Lord still provided for them! We today do not have to wander aimlessly or pointlessly through life! We who confess the Lord Jesus Christ are adopted into His family and become His heirs! God can and will provide for us as well! God is faithful and just we can always trust Him!

As we embrace the Truth of His Word we can better understand the process of life! It is within HIS WORD we can discover spiritual food to nourish us during our spiritual journey as He reveals Truth to us! Life is about preparing to meet the Lord face to face one day! It is full of twists and turns and much spiritual warfare to distract and derail us! God wants us to enjoy life here on earth! But we are to keep in mind that we are accountable to Him for our actions! As the people of God we are to live life in preparation of His coming! In order to better fulfill our life’s purpose we must daily seek the Lord’s WILL & WAY for our lives! We are to be "in the world but not of the world!" The Lord teaches us to pray “Your Kingdom come, Your WILL be done on earth as it is in Heaven…”

There is reason for alarm today in this 21st century because there is so much that goes on contrary to the Word of God! It is becoming increasingly unpopular by the masses to really believe and actually implement the principles of God’s Word into our lives! There is no need to be fearful but to instead; TRUST the LORD! However, we must regularly spend alone time fellowshipping with the Lord so we can better prioritize what is really important and spend our time more wisely! Practical application of HIS WORD to our lives is quite beneficial for our spiritual growth and development! Here within this Psalm we can find Hope! We can experience His Peace! The Lord is Sovereign! This incredible marvelous Psalm confirms and teaches us that despite what we see and hear there is nothing, or nobody greater than the LORD nor anything else more important! PRAISE should be a part of our everyday lives! "Let everything that has breath PRAISE the LORD!"

Book of Praise Lesson Highlights

BOOK 1

“A Psalm of David” A Prayer of David

Theme: Everything belongs to GOD – The glorious eternal King. Let us worship Him and welcome His glorious reign!

Author: David

The Lord humbly came to us as a child born in the least likely expected place. He was mistreated, scorned greatly and despised by many! He suffered tremendously for us! Yet, He lived a victorious life for us and overcame sin in the flesh! It was through the Lord that is world was spoke into existence!

We learned in Psalms 23 that we are His sheep and He is a wonderful Good Shepherd that loves us! He is faithful and cares for us! We have so much to be THANKFUL for! It is important that we humble ourselves seek his face and prayerfully ask for His direction! Life is a journey! His Word is “ALIVE” and can strengthen, prepare and nourish us for the journey!

“The earth is the Lord’s, and everything in it. The world and all who live in it; for He has founded it upon the seas and established it upon the waters.”

There are times when we need to stay closer than usual to the Lord! When in a storm or a serious situation we are to draw closer to the Lord! We need to seek out His presence and bare our souls to Him! When we are experiencing hurt, afraid, sad, depressed, in despair, doubtful, unsure He is there to strengthen, encouraged and reassure us! Embrace Truth and allow Him to help you face whatever is before you! GOD IS ABLE! He can restore our souls and impart His Joy and vigorous potency! God desires to Bless us with his unlimited plethora of blessings! We can become elated, restored, content and hopefully optimistic as we learn to TRUST HIM!

“Who may ascend the hill of the LORD? Who may stand in His Holy place? He who has a clean hands and a pure heart, who does not lift up his soul to an idol or swear by what is false. He will receive blessing from the Lord and vindication from God his Savior!”

There is no power greater than GOD! He is The Most High GOD! During worship in ancient times the priest recognized that God was Omnipotent! They would ask the congregation; “Who was the King of Glory?” and they would respond "The LORD strong and mighty!" The LORD is the Commander and Chief of Heaven’s armies! He is Eternal His WORD is alive and powerful!" History teaches us that this particular hymn was sung on the first day of the week in Temple worship! In this day and age it is important that we give GOD the honor that He so deserves! We must prepare each day to live as though He were to return at any moment! It is through Jesus Christ that we have the Victory over life and death! We who accept Him as Lord as Savior will live with Him in Heaven eternally! Praise God! & Thank You Lord!

When Jesus was crucified He descended deep into the earth and set those held captive free! He took back the power of death and the grave! It is because of Him the everlasting doors to Heaven are open! He is the Door the only Way to the Father! HE is strong and mighty! He rose never to die again with the promise of eternal life to all that believe in Him! Death does not have dominion over Him! He is mighty and He has won the battle! PRAISE GOD! This is why it is so very important to know the Word of God for yourself! Do not let anyone lead you away from the Lord or undermine the validity of His WORD! It is immutable and infallible!

The Lord is the Lord of hosts! There is an innumerable host that He reigns over! Our little finite minds cannot conceive the totality of God! Whatever we think He is; He is indeed so much more! Jesus is coming back for those who have not yet passed over to heaven at the appointed time when He returns! We can REJOICE in the Lord each and every day knowing that as long as we are on this side of heaven we can access Him 24/7! His everlasting doors are open! We in turn must humble ourselves submit, confess, repent and apply His Word to our lives daily! Trust God with your life above all others! HIS WORD is able to cleanse us from all unrighteousness! Know that inHIS timeThe Lord Himself shall descend from Heaven with a shout; and the dead in Christ will rise first; we which are alive will be caught up together in the clouds to meet the Lords in the air, and so shall we ever be with the LORD!”

Trust God despite the many challenges of life that come your way! We continue to hear of wars and rumors of wars! Economic disasters, declining property values that are now rising, raging gas prices going up and down, changing times and many climatic disasters throughout the land as well as worldwide, the incessant threat from both foreign and local terrorists, yet;know that God is patiently giving mankind time to draw closer to Him! The Lord wants to be a part of your life each and every day! You can always find Hope in the Lord! Seek the Lord above all else! Remember! “This is the day that the LORD has made! Let us REJOICE and be GLAD in it!” The Lord reigns, rules and super rules! He is indeed the King of GLORY! He is the Most High God! “TO GOD BE THE GLORY!"

This Psalm concludes saying; “Lift up your heads, O you gate; lift them up, you ancient doors, that the King of Glory may come in. Who is HE, this King of Glory? The Lord Almighty - HE IS THE KING OF GLORY!”

Praise the Lord for giving one insightful vision of Psalms 24. You have proven that David's belief in God was

indeed very deep for he believed earnestly that God was Creator, Redeemer and Sustainer of mankind.

Though David sinned grievously, his repentance was sincere and God forgave him and God blessed him tremendously as no one else. After thousands of years, Jesus was born of the heritage of David. God was, is and will be merciful to those who repent.

May God bless you!

Truly amidst the difficulties our earthly life may bring it is very important to remain in our day to day fellowship with the Lord. It is the source of our daily strength. I love what you say here :

Cristina, Thank You so glad that you enjoyed this! The Psalms are delightful and such a plethora of spiritual wisdom! I so agree “Fellowship” with the LORD is so very important! Especially so in this day and age there is so much to devalue and undermine the preciousness of a daily growing intimate relationship with the LORD!

Our TRUST in the LORD must continue to grow as we travel through this “valley with the shadow of death..” There is much comfort once we realize that our lives are in the hands of the Lord! We CAN REJOICE knowing that one day we will see HIM face to face! PRAISE GOD!

Yes indeed our LORD is AWESOME! It is a word that I usually reserve in referencing Him! PRAISE GOD for HIS continuing GOODNESS despite what is going on within this world about us! It is spiritually profitable to spend alone time with the LORD to replenish our souls

Thank you my sister in the LORD as always for stopping by to share your wonderful enlightening spiritual insight! In HIS Love, Grace, Mercy, Joy, Peace & Blessings! GOD BLESS YOU!

Thanks for these truly inspiring words DeBorrah! You are so right! With all the challenges in life facing us today, to know and believe that the earth and the fullness of it is His and there are no greater powers on the earth, than He that Created the earth, is comforting. To know the living Word for ourselves makes all the difference. Have a wonderful day! I know now, mine will be wonderful. Peace
