A qualified Textile Post Diploma Graduate and Ex.M D of a Textile Mill.

He was at Staying at Mantralaya.

Hosur Joins the devotees of Sri Ragavendraswamy on his 340th year of ARADANA celebrations which goes on in various homes, mandhirs and temples devoted to Guru Sri Ragavendra. He is equal to Adi Shankara of Smartha Brahmins to Madha Brahmins.Though both are Bramhins there is no marriage between the boy of madhva to girl of smartha during my days 50 years ago.It has taken back benches for the present generation. The advertisement of LIC says that boys prefer a girl in govt service and do not care for any sect in their community. This is very True. This practice was not preached by Sri Ragavendraswamy but few people of the bramhin community have created it being jealous of the rich bramhin community. The story of the great GURU is found in many websites and people of both the communities who worship him as GOD and GURU.The place that Sri.Ragavendraswamy stayed was gifted to him by a king as he wanted only this place since it was a place where a rare YAGNA was performed.

Mantralaya is a village in Kurnool district in Andhra Pradesh, India It lies on the banks of the Tungabhadra river on the border with neighboring Karnataka state. It is also called as Manchale. This town is noted for the holy presence of the Vrindavana (sacred burial) of Guru Raghavendra Swami, a Madhwa saint and follower of Sri Madhwacharya. It is believed that Guru Raghavendra Swami is in the Vrindavana from the past 339 years and is believed to be in the Vrindavana for another 361 years. While entering the Vrindavana, Guru Raghavendra Swami stated that he would be there (in the Vrindavana) for 700 years.

You need to visit the deity of the town of Mantralaya who is Godess Manchale who protects the entire population of the town or earlier a Village. In south India every village has a deity and even a Metro City like Bangalore which has grown up to the present world leading soft ware city has a deity who is worshiped by the super senior citizens of present day population.I myself remember how my mother used to take me and others every year with out fail.Even today when I pass the place I respectfully bow my head in that direction as I cannot stop or walk as the place has become a commercial complex in the area.

Manchalamma is the presiding deity of the Manchale village and one has to offer prayers to Manchalamma first before they enter Sri Raghavendra Swamiji's(SRS) mutt to get his blessings. The Manchalamma's shrine is located on the left of the main mutt and both are on the banks of River Tunghabadra.

Sri.Appanacharya was the prime student of Swamiji. Swamiji stayed with Sri.Appanacharya in Bikshalaya aka Bichali for 13 years. This place is also located on the banks of River Tunghabadra and it is 20 km from Mantralayam.

The Place has a high significance to a section of Bramhins.

The place that Sri.Ragavendraswamy stayed was gifted to him by a king as he wanted only this place since it was a place where a rare YAGNA was performed.During the British Rule the Govt however passed an order to take over the land. The local authorities however wrote back to the govt that it was not possible as the Hindu guru's live tomb called by the Hindus as VRINDAVAN is situated in the place and the GURU was alive in his samadhi ( tomb ) even as they reported the matter. The authority to inspect a British came to check and was present at Vrindavan when Sri Ragavendraswamy came out of his tomb and told the persom Sit.Thomas Monroe all details on the present land and gave full details.Sir.T.Munroe than quashed the order it is published in the MADRAS GAZZATTEE.picture below is shown as proof.

THIS MONTH SRI RAGAVENDRASWAMY's 340th year of his entering the tomb alive is being celebrated all over the place where his devotees stay and his Mutt is present.

How to reach the place and its significance.

The nearest railway station is Mantralaya Road, 16 kilometres away. This station is on the Guntakal - Raichur railway route. There are frequent bus services from Adoni, Yemmiganur, Kurnool in Andhra Pradesh and from Raichur and Bellary in Karnataka,Mantralaya is about 53 km from Adoni,24 km from Yemmiganur,100 km from Kurnool and 250 km from the state capital Hyderabad, 35 km from Raichur and 120 km from Bellary.

Lakhs of devotees come here to have a glimpse of the Brindavana or Vrindavana every year.

There are hotels around the mutt and getting accommodation is not difficult. Summers are hot here and winter season is pleasant. Winter mornings may be very chilly. In October 2009 due to heavy floods in Tungabhadra River, the complete village and Vridavanam were Submerged in water. Devotees, volunteers and Government agencies volunteered to reconstruct the affected sites in the temple and the town and the temple was restored to its original beauty.

The selection of this site had another story. When the ruler of the state was a muslim he heard the saint and thought of humiliating him.He sent words that Guru Ragavendra must visit his place and bless him.Guru Ragavendra knew the intentions of the ruler and he had his plans to make his dream to the place he wished to be remembered. Guru Ragavendra went and the ruler of the place gave him due respect but stealthily kept in a silver plate some animal flesh and covered it in a beautiful silk cloth and told him to accept it.Guru Ragavendra placed his hand over the silk cloth with out touching it and returned it saying he should take it as his present the ruler of the place saw it he removed the cloth to find it was full of fruits of different varieties which he was fond of eating. The muslim ruler then asked he must take some gift from him and guru Ragavendra told him to grant the present place where his temple complex is situated. The disciples of guru Ragavendra asked why he selected the place he told them that was the place where thousands of years ago a Maha Yagna was performed by Sri Vyasaraya who had performed great penance won the grace of the Lord and written various works of philosophy founded many shrines of Sri Anjaneya in the country. As he was present here in his samadhi he wanted this sacred place.

Miracle cure of an atheist.

There was a Brahmin in sholapur . He passed the M.A., L. L.B Examination and, in his exultation, arranged a luncheon party for his friends. He partook of the luncheon along with his friends, but hard to explain, he vomited all that he ate. He could not his usual meal. His parents had him treated by eminent doctors. It was to no purpose. He used to vomit what ever he ate. One day, a Brahmin came to Sri Kamalakara joshi's house. The Brahmin was well aware of all the miraculous powers of swami. He said to Sri Kamalakara Joshi and his parents, " You had better go to Manthralaya and serve the swami for some days, the ailment will be cured. Food, which is eaten, will be properly digested. Health will be resorted."

Kamalakara joshi was an atheist. He had no faith in gods or Gurus. So, he did not pay heed to the Brahmins words. But. The parents compelled him to come to the shrine of Manthralaya. He bathed in the river Thungabhadra, visited the Mutt and observed the worship and panchamrita abhisheka performed to Sri Raghavendra swami, with his own eyes. He took mangala harathi and the sacred water and sat in the corner. All the devotees went to the dining hall to take their food. Afraid of vomiting, Kamalakara Joshi did not go to take food. The Mutt people invited him to come and have his meal. Ashamed to tell them the truth of his ailment, he replied that he did not feel hungry. But, as the Mutt people forced him, he went to eat. He began to eat and as the food was tasty, he ate well. He was afraid of nausea. But, all the food he ate that day was digested fully. There was no sign of vomiting. Joshi was surprised. He came to believe that his food was digested by the grace of Sri Raghavendra and there was no fear of vomiting. He began to worship Sri Raghavendra swami daily with great devotion and fervour. His food was well digested and he was happy. With gratitude to Sri Raghavendra Swami for his grace, Joshi worshipped at the shrine for 40 days. His parents were extremely happy to hear about their son's restoration to health. They came to Manthralaya and conducted puja to Sri Raghavendra Swami.

Sri Kamalakara Joshi became a theist as a result of Sri Raghavendra Swami's grace. He regained faith in gods, Guru and Brahmins. His parents were overjoyed to see their son not only healthy but also full of devotion to god and reverence to Gurus.

If you have any doubts go to Mantralaya and see if you will be cured by his grace.
