Are You Angry with God?

Is God the enemy or the Savior

I will not leave you nor forsake you
I will not leave you nor forsake you

And God said...I will bring you out of the darkness

Alot of people are angry at God.....I was one of them. I was angry at God because I wanted Him to provide me with all the things of the world. Not what He could offer me, not what His desires were for me, but what my desires were. All worldly desires. If anyone should have been angry, it should have been God.

I lost my faith in Him because I thought He had forsaken me when in fact it was I who had denied Him. I was not content with what I had, I wanted more and I was demanding more. Now as I read His passage in Hebrew 13:5, I see where I went wrong. "Let your conduct be without covetousness; be content with such things as you have. For He Himself has said, "I WILL NEVER LEAVE YOUR NOR FORSAKE YOU".

I was so full of anger, jealously and resentment towards God and the world. I hated and despised. I lost all hope. I never realized what God had to offer me. I didn't trust in what He would provide for me, that He would help me or even listen to me. I had so many fears about what tomorrow would bring that I couldn't live in the day I was In. I was drowning in my own dispair. Then I read another scripture in Matthew 6:34 "Do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about it's own things. Sufficient for the day is it's own trouble".

I needed to come to Him and deny the power of the world by denying it's power in and over me. I had to die to my oldself and be with a new mind, a renewed mind with the knowledge I was seeking and by having faith in Him that He would direct my path. Proverbs 3:6 "In all your ways acknowledge Him. and He shall direct your paths" and Psalm 25:10 "All the paths of the Lord are mercy and truth". I needed to stay in His word for the answers I desperatly needed.

I'm sure there are more than a few people who are angry at God. But what they don't realize is that God does not want you to fall into the ways of the world for they are distructive and the ways of God are not. Romans 12:2 "And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God". God wants our minds and hearts to be set on Him and not on the materialistic. Materialistic is short lived and will corrupt our minds and destroy our spirit. We need to set our minds on Jesus Christ who will never change and it says so in the bible in Hebrews 13:8 Jesus is the same yesterday, today and forever".

We do not need to be caught up in worldly desires and deeds. God knows our needs. He knows what we are seeking and He wants us to seek after the truth. John 8:32 "And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free".

I was lost and now I'm found. I was blind but now I see. I was lost in the world and blind to God! Oh Ye of little faith! God has given me a new mind, a mind not of this world but of a place where I can obtain peace and hope in the midst of turmoil whereas not to be inslaved by it. A mind to see the truth whereas faith comes from truth and the truth will set us apart from sin. In Ephesians 4:20 through 24 "But you have not so learned Christ if indeed you have heard Him and have been taught by Him, as the truth is in Jesus, that you put off, concerning your former conduct, the old man which grows corrupt according to the deceitful lusts. and be renewed in the spirit of your mind, and that you put on the new man which was created according to God, in true righteousness and holiness".

Praise be to God! We don't have to take part in a distructive angry world once we find the truth, the way and the life God is offering us. We can remove ourselves from it's evil grip and believe all and I mean all things are possible with Jesus as it states in Mark 10:27 "With men it is impossible, but not with God; for with God all things are possible". We can have faith as small as a mustard seed and it will carry us through. Trust in Him, believe in Him! Even if our faith is as small as a mustard seed He will carry us through. Matthew 17:20 "Because of your unbelief; for assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, 'move from here to there' and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you.

As for me, I want to know Him and be free from the bondage of a corrupt life because I know God will bring me out. I want God to choose what's best for me for He know's better than I. I choose to find my peace and hope in Him. For in anything else there is no peace or hope, only turmoil and dispair.

Satan will try to influence us everyday by instilling corruption in our minds and hearts. He does not want us to believe we are worthy. He will defile God in everyway he can 24/7. Satan does not want us to believe in God. Satans purpose is to steal, kill and destroy.

God will provide for us and we need to trust that He will. Genesis 50:21 "Now therefore, do not be afraid; I will provide for you and your little ones" and in Matthew 6:26 "Look at the birds of the air, for they neither sow nor reep nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them, are you not of more value than they? God will provide! But He says further in this chapter in the 33'd verse "Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and ALL these things shall be added to you". Amen? The whole chapter of Matthew 6 is a must read! In fact the entire book!

Also if you have a chance read Romans 12. This tells us how to live. I would like to close my hub with Isaiah 41:10 "FEAR NOT, FOR I AM WITH YOU; BE NOT DISMAYED, FOR I AM YOUR GOD. I WILL STRENGTHEN YOU, YES, I WILL HELP YOU, I WILL UPHOLD YOU WITH MY RIGHTEOUS RIGHT HAND". AMEN AND AMEN!!!!

Great work, awesome hub on the reconciliation one has with God when we just ask, yes I know a lot of people find times when they are mad at God, it is our own weakness and faithlessness. Keep up the great work!

Thank you Cagil for your comment. One always has free will and is in charge of their direction and destination in life. I have witnessed many who have chosen to look no further than what is right in front of them in the conscious mind. They do not believe in a spiritual mind or that it even exists. They live within the box and they remain there. There is no purpose beyond what is in and of the world. Most religions are comformed and controlling and limited. I do not wish to limit myself. I choose more. I choose to believe in the word of God. I choose to praise Jesus and thank Him for the life He has given me and the love He has for me and the knowledge He has provided me with. I choose to believe there is eternal life after death. I believe there is a power greater than me because I have witnessed this power in my life. Everyone is allowed to believe what thay choose. Have a good day and enjoy as well.

TimeHealsAll: Beautifully written! thank you. I am a spirit living within this world in a human's form. I know that Almighty God is my Father, that Jesus and Holy Spirit are my brothers. Of this I have no doubt. I know that as a child of God he offers to me daily an opportunity to serve Him as He wills, and I do so willingly and happily as a dutiful son of God.

I voted awesome sister. Hey I think so many people have your testimony as a struggle that they have yet to conquer thorough His grace. You have been able to learn the lesson He had for you. What a testimony to His grace and to your teachability. What an example you are to those who still struggle with the allure of this world and all the promises it gives. I am so encouraged. Thank you and praise the Lord. I love you sister.

Thank you Dave! We are all subjected to the evils of the world and we all fall short of the glory of God. Being of the flesh weakens the spirit, but God can and will strengthen us in the midst of our weaknesses. Amen and bless you!

Thank you brother nobody! I'm sure as you say that we have all wandered away and ignored the truth and blamed God for our circumstances and are paying the price for our ignorance. It is not a comfortable place to be in I'll tell you that! There is certainly no comfort in the flesh. Maybe this is a sign of what is to come if we ignore the truth and steer off God's path. Love you too brother and bless you!!!

What an awesome hub! It is good to be reminded sometimes, of what we once were, and how God has lifted us up out the darkness. When people get angry with God, especially when they believe he hasn't answered their prayers, I try to explain to them that God ALWAYS answers our prayers, it's just that sometimes the answer is "No", or "Not yet". And sometimes we just have to wait and be patient, because he knows our future and the plans he has for us and it is usually not on our time schedule, but his. God will never leave you or forsake you, it is we who leave him. Thanks so much for sharing. May the Lord bless you always!

I love this page, it's a good reminder to always trust God and to never trust in our own understanding.

We all want freedom from the works of the devil and a corrupt mind but will we do what it takes to be totally free? Where there is no challenge their will be not freedom.

So as we draw closer to God do not let anything spring up from our hearts to defile us.

Anger is a big problem for a lot of people if it be anger towards God, or someone else, or even anger towards ourself. This type of on going anger is rooted in bitterness, to know and understand the love of God and what forgiveness is will heal and soften the hardest of hearts.

Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed;

And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.> John 8:31-32

So let us continue in God's word, and His truth shall make us free!

Thanks for a good read!

God bless you!

Thanks be to God who always causes us to triumph....there are times when truck with sudden calamity that we may tend to ask God why didn't you stop this. It would be a lie to say Christians never get angry with God. I know that I have. There is an old hymn that say we'll understand it better by and by. The fact is there are something that happen to us that we will not understand until we meet God face to face. Thank you for the great (meaty) hub!
