Updated on April 21, 2014

In Planets in Taurus Part One, Ascendant and Mercury, I talked about Ascendant/Rising and Mercury in the sign of Taurus. In this hub, Planets in Taurus Part Two: Mars, Venus and Moon, I will be talking about mars, Venus, and moon in Taurus. Again this does not specifically refer to the sun sign in Taurus (some similarities may apply however). If you do not know your Mars, Venus, or Moon sign, you can run a natal chart (for free, type natal chart in google and plug in your birth data.)

Mars in Taurus

Your Mars in Taurus, in the planet of action, sexuality/sexual expression, and energy. Mars also relates to work and how someone works. Mars in earth signs creates a direct, practical, hard-working and stable person, Taurus is no exception.

As I stated before Mars is the difference between words and action, Mars is definitely action. Mars in Taurus is ruled by Venus. So you will get a mars that can be lazy and pleasure seeking but at the same time hard-working. This may seem like a contradiction, but it isn’t. Mars in Taurus doesn’t like to work, but they will work to be able to afford all the things they want and all the things that will give them pleasure.

Taurus is a very earthy sign so they are focused on the here and now. They want money, pleasure, and all the earthly delights. As an Earth sign they know the only way to get these things is to work, work hard and work good. Even so, as a Venus native (Venus is the planet of love), they are about pleasure, relaxation. If anything Taurus holds a natural talent for the arts and building things. So if they do have a talent, say like singing, painting, landscaping they find a practical way to use this gift to earn money from it.

Mars in Taurus (cont.'d)

Mars in Taurus is definitely about direct action and though known for their slow reactions and mild tempers when they do finally get angry, they get angry. So there is always a possibility that their anger can be put into action that can include angry outbursts and physical altercations.

Mars also governs sexuality and sexual expression. Mars in Taurus makes a very physical, sensual lover. Things in the bedroom will be hot, steamy and corporeal.

Mars in Taurus have no fears in expressing their carnal desires. This mars sign is slow-moving and old-fashioned they won’t do anything outrageous and non-traditional.

Mars in Taurus will last long and definitely be focus on their pleasure and that of their lover.

Venus in Taurus

Venus is all about how we act in relationships. Venus in Taurus is in a very comfortable position, being that its planet ruler is Venus. Though not exalted in the position of Venus, is home in Taurus.

Venus in Taurus is pleasure seeking and built for love. This place is not defined in the idealize Piscean/Neptune standard, aka love is the act of bending of two into one, something that is soft, delicate, fragile, of sacrifice and compassion.

Venus in Taurus give and offer love in the practical, realistic and meaningful way. Venus in Taurus as an earth sign is not emotional by any means but is quite different from the other earth, Venus signs.

Venus in Taurus understand the language of love and combine love with practicality and action. They know how to please, but also know how to get what they want. They will act like the woman or man that their lover wants them to be. They will satisfy your five physical senses (touch, sight, smell, sound, and taste). They won’t be about the emotional, gushy, messy and irrational stuff like feelings and emotions.

Venus in Taurus is very much about the physical, the here and now and they don’t waste time on the other stuff.

Moon in Taurus

Your Moon is Taurus, which means you are ruled by Venus. The moon governs emotions and it is earthy and beautiful in Taurus. The moon is exalted in Taurus, meaning it’s in the best position that the moon can be in. It’s not overtly emotional and impractical like a water moon, it isn’t intellectual and detached like an Air sign, it isn’t selfish and ego-centric like a fire sign, while as it isn’t rigid and overtly practical like the other Earth signs. It is an Earth sign but it’s quite different from the other earth signs.

Moon in Taurus is less rigid and emotional blocked like the other signs (especially the earth signs). A Taurus moon knows that emotions are part of life and are comfortable with emotions and let them flow freely. They also know that emotion/feeling isn’t the only thing in life and they can look objectively and logically at situations where emotions/feelings run high. Moon in Taurus is about pleasure and enjoying the goodness of life. It definitely takes all of what life has to offer. Its likes a good time, a nice meal, and to comfortable and happy with the one’s it loves.

Moon in Taurus (cont'd.)

Even so, Moon in Taurus is also a fixed sign and is guilty of being possessive, jealous, and stubborn towards the ones they love. Often times these qualities starts from a good, well intentioned place but it can turn negative and sour if they confuse good intentions with their insecurities and ego. Once they get that way, it is hard for them to stop and see that they are wrong. Taurus is the most stubborn sign of the zodiac and in the moon there is no exception.

Even so, they do respond to reason and self-awareness. When they do realize for themselves that they are acting in an irrational, improper and vile, they will stop. Even so, Taurus moon is practical, sensual, and protective and pleasure seeking.
