Becoming A Better Witness
Becoming A Better Witness
First and foremost I would like to say that anything said out of love will be received better than that which is spoken in anger. If you are angry then seek to find love before trying to witness. Even if your message is good, it is useless if it is not received properly. To love everyone requires you yourself to become truly humble. Only GOD can humble your heart, and does so by showing you who you really are, which is how HE sees us. We must never be so self-righteous as to think that we are better than anyone. This is hard for most of us because we don’t realize how truly wicked our hearts can be, and the world is full of people who do far worse things than we think we are capable of doing. But know this, sin is a progressive illness and if left untreated you can get pretty sick if you get my point. Just because you don’t think you are as evil as the rapist, murders, and pedophiles that plague the world. Think again, not to defend what they have done but whoever can say the devil could not deceive you or torment you to that extent without the LORD’S protection is a liar which to GOD is just as bad. My point here is not to offend, but to simply define what I mean by love everyone. Only GOD can teach us how to love to that extent. This does not mean we can’t hate their sin, but remember JESUS died the same fore them as he did for you and me.
Secondly: Remember your actions speak louder then your words, so try not be a hypocrite. The best way to avoid this is to practice what you preach, always!!! even behind closed doors. If you claim to be a Christian be one in all aspects of your life. But do not forget who you where before. I can not stress enough the importance of humility. Also people who knew you before are probably going to require more convincing then strangers, though when people do see positive changes in you they to will become interested in what has happened to you. This will also help validate your words, and open doors for you to introduce them to CHRIST.
Thirdly: Prepare yourself for any and all possible questions regarding your statements, because satan has prepared the deceived with all sorts of lies in order to shred you to pieces and make you and the Gospel look foolish so arm yourself for the battle. But remember there may be spectators and every soul counts, so choose you words wisely and know that you don’t need to seemingly win every argument to plant seeds. So make your points clearly whether you win the battle or not. I find that it is better to keep the focus on satan’s lies and their misunderstandings to see what the deception is that is blocking their ability to receive the truth, rather then to allow them to attack you. However Remember in the heat of battle that lucifer is the enemy and the sinner is just the by-standard, so don’t make them your target. Your goal should always be to win the soul.
Lastly: When you have introduced someone to CHRIST, Let HIM clean them up. Often times I feel to many unnecessary Burdens are placed on new Christians. Let them learn to walk, as you did. The LORD will convict their hearts, and reveal HIS truths to them in their do time. So remember not to put more on anyone then they are able to handle, be loving and patient with everyone fore that matter new and old in the faith. It is my opinion that most apostate Christians turned away from CHRIST as a result of being exposed to things they where not ready to understand, so take caution in what you take upon yourself to place on anyone. Stick to the fundamentals, and let them grow in CHRIST at the rate HE has allowed them to. HE is the SHEPHERD we are just the sheep.
P.S. Your own life should be the best testimony you can give, so be a light to the lost through your love, your actions, and your words, and give all glory to GOD.
