Light Is Love
I am not sure you are aware of this, but the most powerful thing that you can do to make a difference in this planet is quite simple. It doesn’t cost you a thing. You don’t have to join any membership, run a million mile marathon, or be the wealthiest person in America to participate in this powerful expression. It is simply this:
Be a light onto the world.
What do you mean by this? I mean that your love—your state of being—has a powerful affect on the world. It has been proven scientifically that meditation and prayer can affect our world in unimagined ways. Those that participate in group mediation or group prayer know how powerful this can be. We are talking exponential effects that will literally boggle the mind.
We have been shown countless times of this being used in a negative manner, such as when people are part of mobs that ransack a city. However, what I am talking about is using this in a positive manner that can transform our world. We all have this potential within us to do miraculous things, but many of us get caught in the “dramas” of life. We literally forget who we are when we are stuck in this negative energy. This is when we need to change the channel.
Kindness Is Good for Your Health
Dr. Wayne Dyer shared a remarkable finding. When a person is kind to another person, he or she boosts the serotonin levels in the brain of the person that the kindness is directed at, as well as the sender, and anybody witnessing this kind gesture. For those, that do not know what serotonin is, this is a “feel-good” hormone in the brain. It has been said that those that are suffering from depression have lower serotonin levels.
It is also obvious that when someone is kind to you that it feels good. Why is that so? Kindness is an emotion of a high frequency (vibration). In addition to kindness, love, joy, appreciation, compassion, and so on are also high frequency emotions that put you in alignment with God.
Love Is More Powerful than Negativity
Did you know that a candle has the ability to chase away the darkness? The same is true with you. Your positive thoughts and emotions are more powerful than negativity. How is that possible? It is quite simple, actually. Negativity cannot exist in the higher vibrations. The only way it can affect you is by bringing your vibration to the same level. I am sure that you have heard of this expression: “Sinking to their level.” If you sink to their level, you lose. You may satisfy your ego, but not your heart.
It does not make sense to fight fire with fire.
Envision the World You Want
Your imagination is the key. What does your ideal world look like? Is it something that brings you joy? Does is resonate with your heart? What are the people like in your world? What things do they say to you? How does this place make you feel?
There are several ways in which you can do this exercise. One way would be to spend a few minutes every day envisioning your ideal world. It is important to feel this vision in your heart.
Your feelings are what give your thoughts power.
Another way to approach this exercise would be writing. You could write your thoughts daily in your journal. Again, it is important to feel these thoughts as you write them. There is another possibility in regards to exercises. We could combine the two exercises together. Perhaps, you could write your thoughts first, then when you are done visualize your dream world. If you have any other ideas that you would like to implement, then by all means utilize them. The secret is listening to the voice of your heart. It knows what you want. And when you are done with your exercise, give thanks.
