Being lonely | Are there guardian angels? | Where in the Bible can we read about them?Experiences of people

We feel lonely because we believe that we are all alone in this world. There is none who cares for us, no one who loves us and none to hear us. There are more lonely people in this world than there are people who can't afford daily meal. In the world that we live today, everyone is busy with their own life. No one has time for others. There are many people who long to just open up their heart and talk, but no one to listen. Even in families husband and wife, both are busy in their careers, making money. If you are from a family where you dad or mom has time to listen to you, consider yourselves lucky- there are several children who don't get this privilege. In this article I would like to tell you about Guardian Angles- some of you might have heard this name at least in some movies.

Pslam 91:11-13

^"11 For He will give His angels charge concerning you,To guard you in all your ways.¹² They will bear you up in their hands,That you do not strike your foot against a stone.¹³ You will tread upon the lion and cobra,The young lion and theserpent you will trample down"

Is it not a comforting thought that there is a celestial spirit ever at our side to guide us, lead us and protect us? Do you know that each one of us has a guardian angel? Yes we do!

Mathew 18:10

"Take care that you do not despise one of these little ones; for, I tell you, in heaven their angels continually see the face of my Father in heaven."

We all have guardian angels, send by our father in heaven. Our guardian angel is our companion, a good friend in our good times as well as bad times. St. Bernard, says "my brothers, make holy Angels your friends. Give them joy by having confidential recourse to them, and honor them by your prayers, for they are ever near, to comfort and protect us" He continues " Whenever afflictions or temptations frighten you, implore the aid of him who watches over you, who leads you, who succors you in all your necessities"

Guardian angels extend their guardianship not just to believers but also to unbelievers. According to St. Thomas Aquinas even the antichrist will have a guardian angel, who will restrain him from evil, which he would otherwise do.

Revelations 8: 3-4

^{" 3} Another angel, who had a golden censer, came and stood at the altar. He was given much incense to offer, with the prayers of all God’s people, on the golden altar in front of the throne.⁴ The smoke of the incense, together with the prayers of God’s people, went up before God from the angel’s hand"

There are historical records of holy people talking about their guardian angels:

St. Rose of Lima was privileged to hold familiar conversations with he r holy angel.

Pope St. Gregory the great was tenderly devoted to his Guardian Angels

St. Frances of Rome, during the latter half of her life enjoyed the grace of seeing her Guardian Angel ever at her side.
