Bible Meditation

Individuals that meditate do it differently. Some may meditate with low volume instrumental music playing in the background, while saying positive affirmations and doing deep breathe exercises. There are those that meditate in complete silence for a few minutes to half an hour. And there are other individuals that meditate for getting rid of a bad habit, such as smoking cigarettes, OCD conditions, drug addictions, and/or spiritual health.

Meditating using Bible verses is beneficial for Christians and non-Christian people. When meditating it's important to do deep breathe exercises, by inhaling through your nose, hold the air in for 2-4 seconds, and then exhale slowly through your mouth. The affirmations in meditation have to be spoken where you can actually hear them, and not just saying them in your mind.

Bible Verses for Meditation

Anxiety - Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God, and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. (Philippians 4:6-7)

Meditate - Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praise worthy, meditate on these things. (Philippians 4:8)

Renewing - Put off concerning your former conduct, the old man which grows corrupt according to the deceitful lusts, and be renewed in the Spirit of your mind, and that you put on the new man which was created according to God, in true righteousness and holiness. (Ephesians 4:22-24)

Free - Therefore if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed. (John 8:36)

Fear - Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, Yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. (Isaiah 4:10)

Warfare - For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ. (2 Corinthians 10: 4-5)

Wealth - Remember the Lord your God, for it is He who gives you power to get wealth. (Deuteronomy 8:18)

Liberty - Now the Lord is the Spirit; and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty. (2 Corinthians 3:17)

Faith - Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. (Hebrews 11:1)

Strength - He gives power to the weak, and to those who have no might He increases strength. Even the youth shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall, but those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles. (Isaiah 40:29-31)

Thanks a great list, Ann. Isaiah 41:10 is among my favorites. They're all very helpful.

Thanks MsDora, Many will agree that Bible meditation is the best meditation, due to it assisting with renewing our minds for righteousness and Godly wisdom.
