Bible proves Jesus (PBUH) is not God

Islam is the only non-Christian faith, which makes it an Article of Faith to believe in Jesus (PBUH). No Muslim is a Muslim if he does not believe in Jesus (PBUH).

A person may ask, if both Muslims and Christians love and respect Jesus (PBUH), where exactly is the separation point? The major difference between Islam and Christianity is the Christians insistence on the supposed divinity of Christ (PBUH). A study of the Christian scriptures reveals that there is not a single unequivocal statement in the entire Bible where Jesus (PBUH) himself says, “I am God” or where he says, “Worship me”.

If Jesus (PBUH) was God then

1) Whom he used to worship?

…”Jesus often withdrew to lonely places and prayed.” (Luke 5:16)

…”he (Jesus) fell with his face to the ground and prayed…” (Matthew 26:39)

“One of those days Jesus went out to a mountainside to pray, and spent the night praying to God.” (From the NIV Bible, Luke 6:12)

2)  And who was running this Universe before his Birth and after his Departure to Heaven up till now?

“I can of myself do nothing. As I hear, I judge; and My judgment is righteous, because I do not seek My own will but the will of the Father who sent Me”. (John 5:30)

Jesus said to them, “If God were your Father, you would love me, for I proceeded and came forth from God; I came not of my own accord, but he sent me”. (John 8:42)

…”for the Father is greater than I.” (John 14:28)

“My Father is greater than all.” (John 10:29)

Note 1:

According to Bible:
1)  God can’t be tempted.
2)  Jesus (PBUH) was tempted.
3)  And therefore Jesus (PBUH) can never be God.

For God is not subject to temptation to evil and he himself tempts no one. (James 1:13)

Then Jesus was led by the spirit into the desert to be tempted by the devil. (Matthew 4:1)
Then the Devil took him up to a very high mountain and showed him all the kingdoms of the world and their magnificence. (Matthew 4:8)

Note 2:

“For there are three that bear record (witness) in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three ARE ONE.” (1 John 5:7). The Father=The Son=The Holy Ghost (Spirit).

Then the next verse 8 says: ” And there are three that bear witness in earth, the Spirit, and the water, and the blood: and thesethree agree IN ONE.” The Spirit (Holy Spirit), the Water (The Father) and the Blood (The Son). How would it be 3=1 and 3IN1 at the same time? It’s just completely different meaning.

3=1 means they are all in the same level, the same power, the same content (i.e. The water has 3 different mentalities liquid, solid and gas) and 3in1 is like 3 relative people carry the same family name but they are completely different people with different mentalities and personalities.

In addition, if we believe that God is 3, then why would we have one creation? For example if we ask 3 artists to draw a tree, each one will have his own style and way of drawing that tree according to his way of thinking, and if the 3 in one God are creating the creature, then each one of them will create it in a different way, even if they have the same aim, but they would create it in their own way!

Concept of Trinity:

The Bible does not support the Christian belief in trinity at all. One of the scribes once asked Jesus (PBUH) as to which was the first commandment of all, to which Jesus (PBUH) merely repeated what Moses (PBUH) had said earlier:

“Shama Israelu Adonai Ila Hayno Adonai Ikhad.”

This is a Hebrew quotation, which means:

“Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord.”

(The Bible, Mark 12:29) (The Bible, Deuteronomy 6:4)

Jesus (PBUH) was a Prophet and Servant sent by God:

“They were all filled with awe and praised God, “A great Prophet has appeared among us,” they said. “God has come to help his people.” This news about Jesus spread throughout Judea and the surrounding country.” (Luke 7:16-7)

“Ye men of Israel hear these words; Jesus of Nazareth, a man approved of God among you by miracles and wonders and signs, which God did by him in the midst of you, as ye yourselves also know.” (The Bible, Acts 2:22)

“I tell you the truth, no servant is greater than his master, nor is a messenger greater than the one who sent him.” (John 13:16)

“…I have not come on my own; but he (God) sentme.” (John 8:42)

“… and the word which ye hear is not mine, but the Father’s which sent me.” (John 14:24)

“And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus (PBUH) Christ, whom thou has sent.”(John 17:3)

Jesus (PBUH) was commanded by God Almighty:

“For I have come down from heaven not to do my will but to do the will of him who sent me.” (John 8:38)

…”This command I (Jesus) received from my Father.” (John 10:18)

“…I cast out devils by the Spirit of God….”(Mathew 12:28)

“…I with the finger of God cast out devils….”(Luke 11:20)

Jesus (PBUH) Refuted even the Remotest Suggestion of his Divinity:

Consider the following incident mentioned in the Bible:

“And behold, one came and said unto him, ‘Good Master, what good thing shall I do, that I may have eternal life?’

And he said unto him, Why callest thou me good? There is none good but one, that is, God: but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments.” (Mathew 19:16-17)

Jesus (PBUH) did not say that to have the eternal life of paradise, man should believe in him as Almighty God or worship him as God, or believe that Jesus (PBUH) would die for his sins. On the contrary he said that the path to salvation was through keeping the commandments.

Nothing is like God and he can Never be seen:

…”You have never heard his voice nor seen his form”… (John 5:37)

…”I am God, and there is none like me” (Isaiah 46:9)

“No one has ever seen God, but God the One and Only”… (John 1:18)

No offense, but as a Christian, and I'm sure there are some who believe differently, but... Jesus was the son of God, therefore God ran the universe while he sent his son to save humanity! When Jesus was baptized, the skies opened up and God said, "This is my son, in whom I am well pleased!" --so there is no where in the Bible that makes Jesus devine? You might want to read it again! There are may places where he is "son of God" and "my father sent me!" and so many other verses as well!

Apparently you are quoting from the internet.. because a few of your verses above have been changed from what the Bible actually says... for instance... a few of the verses takes out where Jesus says his father sent him! Go read the actual Bible... not the internet!

"For God so loved the world, that he sent his only beloved son, that whosoever believeth in him shall not perish but have everlasting life! He sent his son into the world, not to condemn it, but through him they should have everlasting life!"

Stop quoting the Bible if you don't know it!

Peace!

The terms “father”and “son” were used metaphorically, not literally. “father” was used by the Hebrews to indicate the Spiritual Father, not the literal father. Similarly, "son" is used to indicate a righteous person.

---> If Jesus is the son of God then you should also believe:

David is the begotten Son of God. (Psalms 2:7)

Jacob is God's firstborn son. (Exodus 4:22)

Ephraim is God's firstborn son. (Jeremiah 31:9) [how many firstborns?]

Solomon is God's son (2 Samuel 7:13-14)

Adam is the son of God. (Luke 3:38)

All the people who are righteous are sons of God. (Mathew 5:9) and (Deuteronomy 14:1)

---> libby The verse John 3:16 which you quoted is the most controversal verse in the Bible.

I know that bible says the father sent him BUT does it make Jesus God or literal son of God? NOOOOOOOOOOO!

Bible remains the same if i quote over from Net or from actual book. Non-sense comment.

why should i stop quoting bible? The problem with Muslims is that they know the bible more than the Christians. lol

Peace libby

We are all sons and daughters of God... but Jesus is the literal son of God! You say John 3:16 is controversial, to whom? Certainly not Christians...maybe Islams! Even if you say the word "begotten" means something else...what about the rest of the verse? "Whosoever believeth on him shall not perish but have everlasting life... God sent his "son" into the world so they would not perish but have everlasting life! Hmmmm... Sounds like God sent his son into the world to save it, and those who don't believe in him is condemned!

Dom 5 years ago

John 3:16 was found to be a fabricated verse. The word only begotten son was not in the original manuscript. The biblical scholars to their credit removed this fabrication in the revised version of the bible. The clergy who are not interested in the truth demanded that begotten be put back in.

That's funny... because even if you take "begotten" out.. the rest of the verses around it are in line with it... Read it all and find out for yourself! It's not the only place either!!! Read it!

What i don't understand is WHO and WHY does the Bible get changed, updated and modernised every now and again? Who has got the permission from God to change it? If it is a true religious scripture, then shouldn't it still be the same as it was thousands of years ago???? The Glorious Quran has not been changed ONE DOT!

Nothing against Christians or the Bible, as Muslims also believe in the original Bible, but the Glorious and Holy Quran precedes all the scriptures before it.

-Nowhere in the Bible that Jesus claimed to be the son of God but he rather claimed to be the son of man.Which would you believe in Jesus or some Bible narrator? 'Son of God' is a metaphorical word which has another meaning; For example if somebody is called 'son of the lion' this doesn't mean that your father is the lion but it means that you are a son who is as brave as a lion. Please read the foot note (h) in John 1:34 of "The New Revised Standard Version" of the Bible. It says that the 'son of God' means "God's Chosen One", meaning a Prophet of God, a Messenger of God, or a person very close to God. Hope that this can give you an idea...

Jesus did claim he was God many times. I said "I Am" and the Jews of the day knew exactly what he was saying. Matthew also said in the beggining was the Word and the Word was God and He cam in the flesh among us. He lived before Abraham and said I Am. He said I am the Alpha and the Omaga. Plus before his death Piliot knew him and he wrote he was God to a letter to Rome.

We have One Elohim God. Elohim is plural noun. He created us to His/Their image. It means He is Echad God. Echad means either numero one or unity. Echad is also used when man leave his parents and take wife and they will be one (Echad) flesh (Gen 3:24).

Yes, Jesus never said he is God but He said He is Son. He talk to the Father all the time. Then Jesus is part of family of God. In the Old Covenant Jesus was not in the scene available to be seen. It was only Elohim. God has many names. One is YHVH. Hebrew Yeshuvah has all consonants within - YeHoshuVaH. YHVH is always translated as the LORD.

Jesus must come as a man not as God, since man and not animal’s OR God sin. *** Only one pure and innocent can take our sin and curse on Himself and nail it on the wood. Then He dump it into the hell. To believe it makes us free. He did all work of the Law for us and we received His righteousness. It was perfect exchange.

Jesus was legally named Himself as Son of Adam - Ben Adam. It was only way to justify entire humanity to become man. As we know Adam had only one sin and three cardinal curses entered to humanity: poverty, sickness and death.

Jesus died for us instead of us and gave us life. Since He never sin the grave and hell cannot keep Him in. God raised Him from the death after three days. We cannot say we sin once twice and many times and get away with it. There is no remedy for even one single sin and Jesus solved it for all. I know people of Law and letters (Jewish or Islam) cannot comprehend it while God said God is one (Echad). God clarified it in Deuteronomy clearly it in 6:4 and explained in v 14.

Jesus call Himself Son of man (Adam) and it was legal purpose. He became fully man.

If there is any doubt or misunderstanding I will be glad to extend my explanation. God bless.

Quote from your article:

“My Father is greater than all.” (John 10:29)

Um...time to give up Islam? In Islam, Allah is not even called "Father" nor does Allah have "sons" whether they be literal or figurative. Do you understand your own religion?

Mike M 3 years ago

Jesus says "I and the Father are one" and "If you've seen me you've seen the Father."

So Biblically (which is the attempted basis for your argument), your argument is not sound.

Best to you.

hahaha 3 years ago

god in the quran did not say "father" because of the misunderstanding of that word "father", instead god says in the quran "Lord".

Adastyar 2 years ago

His argument is definitely sound, christians need to look at the opinions of their scholars who have studied the religion for 20 plus years of their lives!! It is not befitting to mention God as a man or incarnated. It stems back to pagan beliefs that were created way before christ. Do your history. The bible disrespects profits like Lot and Ibraham, but it ultimatrly disrespects GOD. Matthew Jesus pbuh says: " and many will come to me on that day(judgement) and willl say Jesus we did things in your name we loved you and caste out demons for you". And jesus pbuh replies I do not no you, for you did not follow the father" get away from me.

If Jesus died on the cross, why did the lies of his body being raised from human form into a spiritual form. Why or who hide his body to make him a liar.In 1st Corinthians chapter 15:44 _49.

The disciples were still thinking the wrong way like all ways.

Antonio A. 2 years ago

We know that Jesus did not write nothing of himself. We know now that many gospels were written by people who did not know Jesus personally. Why if the disciples made many mistakes while living in the time of Jesus, why not ordinary humans. I listen to my living spiritual guide learn from the mistakes of humanity. We must stop and think, meditating on our own wisdom for truthfulness.

Why on God's earth would a book that is the Word of God have Contradictions and Inconsistencies?????????????? Why is there no Original????????????? Why is it that everyone can change it to mean what they want??????? Why are there certain things said in certain books and then differently in others???????????????? the thing that gets me is people like to argue back and forth, why why why? The book should be perfect if it is the True Word of God. Sadly it is Not. SO there really is nothing to argue cuz truth is humans have fabricated it and if anyone wants to sit here and argue, you are sadly wasting time my friends. At the end of the day how can such a perfect book be changed? It's NOT PERFECT that's why.

Jane Thomas 2 years ago

the council of Nicea, what happened there is what brought about Trinity.........Even further....should not God know the coming of the Hour? so how is it that someone who is a part of God does not know such coming? How is it that he is questioned about his kingdom and he stays quiet and does not speak the truth, if he was son of God???? you say he died for human sin is it? Well then, why did he say "why hast thou forsaken me"????????????? Should God lay prostrating to anything else? No you say cuz then he would not be God and it makes no sense! then why did Jesus Prostrate and Pray? who did he pray to??? himself you say! How can God pray to himself????????? None of this Makes sense........NONE.

The only thing that makes sense is what was revealed before, during and after Christ' time The ONENESS OF GOD....Praise be to Him ALONE and God Alone is worthy of Worship, The Creator not Created. The Lord, Our God, The Lord is ONE.... Peace Luv and Blessings of Allah(God) to those who seek him!!!!!!

You are a great religious man and you are better than many others I read or heard so far in the same matter, especially Muslims, Jehovah Witnesses, and co. Now this is what you didn't see, Satan is the god of this world, and we call demons and other evil spirits gods. The Bible even mentioned in Psalms that we are gods as children of the Most High. John 10:34-35; Psalm 82:1-6; Psalm 95:3... Now we know that we have gods and God the Almighty, the Creator and the Created beings, we then need to try and see what you didn't see. The Bible in Genesis 1:1 and many other references said "God created the heavens and the earth and all that are in them". And then John1:1-3 and many other references made it clear that Jesus Christ, the Word of God made flesh created everything and there was anything that was created without him. Again Jesus Christ has proven that he has power over every situation and event including death and hell. If we consider as God with capital G the one who has power over us all and created us all, then we cannot classified Jesus in the category of gods who were created by Him but in the same category with God the Father. This means that we are left with the only one choice. Let us not forget that our knowledge and understanding are limited and it is only God revealed to us about Himself that we know. So far apart from Jesus Christ no man has ever came to tell us that he came from God in heaven and proved it. We know that all we know about God now is incomplete and cloudy. But we will not enter the dangerous game to reject what he has revealed because it does not make sense to our limited mind. God is too big for us to fully grab. Jesus when he was in the flesh, the Bible said he laid down his place and privileges as God, and has to rely on the Holy Spirit to function as God. God is not a man, but He was God made flesh. God is a Spirit and till today I have not seen or heard any definition or explanation on the nature of spirit beings that is complete and fully clear to our mind. My conclusion is that Jesus Christ of Nazareth, being the one who came from God the Father, who was the only one man without sin [every man is a sinner] and the only one who dared to say that He is the Life, the Truth and the only Way to the Father, cannot be classified as a creature. That will mean He created himself, seeing nothing was created without him according to John 1:1-3 and Colossians 1:15-17. He is not an angel or a god because he created them all and is Lord over them all. God Bless You! in Jesus name!

Jesus speaks of his divinity, John 8:58 I tell you the truth, before Abraham was born I am.

Note: I am is God's holy name and repeated throughout the bible several times. People usually have the misconception that Bible has been changed several times, if have the bible made available in worlds different languages(translation) and calling translation and joining it with the statement people often make "bible is been changed several times is absurd". Many other religious books out there has been translated including Quran, so just basing your argument on speculation is pointless. Many claim that verses are different in the bible when compared with another Bible version, but the critics very conveniently ignore the fact that the message being delivered is exactly the same. Its like Reading a headline in New York times and Daily news, compare the two newspapers word to word it will be different, but the message being delivered is the same. So has the Bible been changed? NO! Did Jesus die for our Sins? YES! he is the lamb of God free of blemish who died for Sins. Genesis 1:26 Then God said "Let us make man in our image. Us is plural, which also suggests and proves Trinity Father, Son , Holy spirit. Genesis 3:22, And the Lord God said, "The man has now become like one of us, knowing good and evil. Also from Colossians 1:16 we know that Christ, Gods Son, was at work in the creation. Hope this was helpful, and i recommend to all to pray for the HS , Gods helper to guide you when you seek answers and truth. God bless.

Jesus spoke Hebrew and the Bible does not exist in Hebrew so the Bible is NOT the original words of Jesus Christ. You always lose some meaning when translating. That includes the Koran though it at least has the original book so you can still get the original meaning. So the Bible has been changed and the original meaning has been lost.

Iglesia in Cristo (church of Christ) also believes that Jesus is not God but Son of God.

since I embrace ISLAM.... Just the time I was cleared up about the divinity of Jesus (pbuh) that is doubtful, and Mary as well, as to that of Trinity.

The accepted interpretation is that Jesus is the Son of God. I can't think of many Christians who say that Jesus is God.

Who do you say is saying Jesus is God?
