BUILDING DREAMS THROUGH CHANGE
A Change of Mind
Change occurs by use of the authority invested in you.
As we observe rampant sin and the audacious perpetration of evil, I believe we need breakthroughs to save our families, communities, and society. Starting with single victories in small battles which take us to the threshold of challenges that test our purpose for being. The choices made from our decisions push us from ordinary everyday life to a life filled with God's blessings. From our choices, we need to impact the world as Christians and offer solutions to those that are frustrated, deluded and hell-bound. At times, it seems that we are in the same shape as the family of Noah was during his day. Taking Noah’s example, we are to seek God’s direction in perilous times. As he built his Ark, we are to construct our salvation in a world seemingly given to evil: preparing our spirit-man, making it a vessel suitable for space travel.
Let’s Go, People!
The Greek word metanoia transliterates into English as repentance, and means CHANGE. Repentance is necessary for any progress to God is made.
Modern Rendition Illustrated
The Bible says Noah was perfect. In this antediluvian world, the life span of man ranged just under 1000 years. Noah was selected and had the responsibility to build an ark. After the Flood, the life span of a man covered just over 100 years. Scripture tells the Ark that Noah built lifted him above an oceanic earth. Afterward, the floodwaters abated, and Noah's offspring replenished the earth.
Noah received his orders on how to build the Ark directly from God including its height, width, and length. The Bible is clear about the dimensions and materials concerning the building of the Ark. However, the ancient methodology (techniques in coating and pitching) used is unknown today.
"So make yourself an ark of cypress wood; make rooms in it and coat it with pitch inside and out. (15) This is how you are to build it: The ark is to be 450 feet long, 75 feet wide and 45 feet high. (16) Make a roof for it and finish the ark to within 18 inches of the top. Put a door in the side of the ark and make lower, middle and upper decks. (17) I am going to bring flood waters on the earth to destroy all life under the heavens, every creature that has the breath of life in it. Everything on earth will perish" (Holy Bible, Genesis 6:14-17, King James Version).
PEOPLE: Among the Elite, Itinerant & Old
Imagine Leonardo Da Vinci having a casual conversation with Thomas Edison in a technical discussion. During the generations preceding and up to Noah's generation, this may have been commonplace. As mentioned earlier details are scarce but Noah likely employed some of the technology of that day in his assignment. The wisdom gathered from the experiences of those who lived well over four or five centuries during the time of Noah could have acquired great skill in building, coating wood, and roof construction. That particular period (antediluvian age) held the possibility that people could converse among themselves or with someone who was hundreds of years old. Could you imagine some drawing from centuries of experience and using that content in a brainstorming effort?
The Hand of God sealed the door of the Ark, and the windows of heaven remained open as the deluge destroyed life upon the earth. Mr. & Mrs. Noah, their three sons, and their wives were safe, and some animals lived, but many species became extinct; those that are now gigantic bone specimens exhibited in museums today. When the rain ceased, a rainbow appeared to the eight who were left alive for re-populating the earth. This rainbow came to represent a promise from God that the earth's inhabitants would never be destroyed by water again.
AFTER BELIEVING IN CHRIST another development took place that would be essential to spreading the Gospel. This emergence would be the baptism of the Holy Ghost. This spiritual breakthrough is needed to build a life acceptable, holy and righteous, amidst corruption, confusion, noise, back-biting, etc. People cannot construct a life pleasing to God apart from Him, and this certification is necessary to go unimpeded throughout the nations and the highways; making disciples of men, women, boys and girls everywhere. God sealed the door of Noah’s Ark; likewise, the Holy Spirit seals us for our work at hand.
Pressure builds when water pushes against the weakest point of any given surface. Erosion occurs when water continuously moves against these surfaces. Therefore, a constant pressure of a forced flood cannot be held back by a weak barrier. Naturally, it is impossible to stop the flow of a great body of water into the pathway of least resistance once a breach occurs. A bursting forth of a great body of water through a levee, for example into a dry seabed is an impossible feat to prevent naturally. The gathering flood soon gains momentum until all dryness drowns as water covers the terrain: hills and valleys, peaks and valleys. From above, the leveling of water is seen as it covers all that was once beautiful landscape. This setting existed as Noah, and seven others observed when the great deluge removed any remnant of Methuselah’s generation. It is probable that Noah's grandfather Methuselah died in the year of the Flood at the age 969, just 30 years short of a day, in the God sense. "But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day" (2 Peter 3:8).
AFTER RECEIVING THE HOLY SPIRIT Your spiritual breakthrough tends to make a multi-dimensional change that results in an entirely new mode of operation. Mentioned earlier the most famous real discovery happened through no barrier, just the open sky, as rainwater caused a flood that covered the face of the earth in Noah’s day. Comparably much later, a spiritual breakthrough occurred at Pentecost as Christ's Disciples began speaking in other tongues. Instead of the force of water destroying any remnant of an ancient civilization; the advent at Pentecost provided the Holy Spirit, as Content that flooded the hearts and minds of individuals who ventilated His presence within their bodies by the speaking in distinct languages that they had no prior knowledge.
CONSISTENCY sets the stage for spiritual breakthroughs to occur. By investing Himself in the lives of others Christ modeled how to make breakthroughs occur. Christ taught, admonished, and warned His Disciples for approximately thirty-six months. His doxology climaxed with his instruction:
“Go you therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost” (Matt. 28:19).
One key word in this passage is baptizing, which translates from the Greek "baptizo; meaning to immerse, submerge for a religious purpose, to soak or wash with water in token of purification of sin and from spiritual pollution." Naturally to take a dry place and submerge it in water was to be applied spiritually. The disciples were to immerse diverse people and far-reaching cultures with the Gospel of the Kingdom of God. Furthermore, it became known that the power of God rested on these truths and made breakthroughs possible. The Great Commission (Matt. 28:19) remains a current mandate for all followers of Christ but have yet prioritized by many who are called Christians. The agenda of many have revamped and "Therefore, keep watch because you do not know on what day your Lord will come” (Matt. 24:42 NIV). After man exposed to the good news, the restoration of man's place with God is made available which can lift one above any pandemonium that is ever so present.
Spiritual breakthroughs are required to bring a man to a clearer revelation of the Kingdom of God upon the earth. Once sealed by the indwelling of the Holy Spirit, you're able to make it through any storm. This anointing upon a life makes one foreign to this world. The seal shields those from intrinsic evil as some easily succumb, adversely to the myriad effects thereof. God will alter any law of nature. Take notice! God can make a way for your escape as He did the Children of Israel, “So the Children of Israel went into the midst of the sea on dry ground, and the waters were a wall to them on their right hand and on their left” (Exodus 14:22). The favor of God upon your life is as a garment worn and can be seen and felt by others but is inherently intangible. Sin darkens one’s countenance but to them who are sealed their faces shine.
The Power of Initiating Change
God helps those who help themselves. I never found this saying in the Holy Scriptures, but I believe it to be true. “You can’t stop or avoid change. Therefore, you are going to be an agent of change or a victim thereof. Waiting makes you a victim, Silence makes you a victim and hoping a prisoner; we are either victims or agents of change. Whoever act first controls your future. The only person you must wait on is God. Start something the finishing is up to God.” Miles Monroe

Go Command – Permission to Initiate change
Great Commission: Matthew 28:16-20
“Then the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain where Jesus had told them to go. (17) When they saw him, they worshiped him; but some doubted. (18) Then Jesus came to them and said, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.(19) Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, (20) and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age."

The anointing is used to destroy a yoke of bondage employed by Satan.
You can be standing next to someone but be in a different place altogether.
By following days to observe worship you can become confused; but if you follow God all your days you can't go wrong.
