Brothers in the Bible
How'd You Do?
How'd you do? God's word provides accounts of brothers, families, tribes, kings, and more. It's filled with not only history, but life lessons and illustrations to help us learn how to live for him...and how not to. While names may not be important in some ways, they do help keep the story straight, and when they are mentioned in other accounts they help make those lessons and illustrations clearer. For instance, when you see Perez listed in Jesus' genealogy in Luke, you'd know he was a twin born under less than ideal circumstances and yet God still chose him to be part of the line from which the Messiah came.
