Can We Thank The Lord Enough?

Can We Thank The Lord Enough ?

Can we, do we, should we thank Him every day

For every Goodness and Mercy He sends our way?

Do you ever think of Heaven's Love true and dear ?

Though he is up in Heaven He is always very near.

Do we really appreciate that Ageless Hand up Above

That holds many treasures and sends them with Love?

We may go with a problem, expect and answer today,

His answer may be,"not now",God often works that way.

If you are a child of His, you know where you should be.

He will send you an answer if you will just wait and see,

God will not forget He will answer your precious prayer.

God's Time is not your time but His answer will be there.

So you must take it to the Lord and leave it with no regret.

God is not like humans and unlike them He will not forget.

Our simple little mind could never be able to understand

How much He can accomplish with His Great Holy Hand.

All the thanks He wants is for your heart to be forever true,

With God in your heart there is nothing that you can' t do.

If you would just go to Him and leave Him with your prayer,

You will find the answer comes if we will just leave it there.

We know we love God but at times it's hard to understand

How One so Great and mighty could reach to us His Hand.

Often we will take our prayer from His Hand ,sad but true.

If we want to settle it by on our self what can God really do ?

He can not force us to obey for we have our own free will,

Without it we would be like puppets for we would just be nil.

God did not want puppets for He wanted someone to love.

He wants His Dear Ones to be happy at their home Above !

We live in a time when everything must be fast,

Fast cars, fast foods and we sometimes wonder

how this has come about. Back in the horse and

buggy days the people lived at a much slower

pace, They visited with friends and enjoyed

life ,now all we do is hurry ,hurry and complain

that we have no time for just living, In those

bygone days people knew how to relax with

friends and loved ones. Most people believed

in God and they were not afraid to admit it .

In all of our fast lives we have almost left

God out of it completely .Who would have ever

imagined we would revert to such a Godless

life, God hasn't moved but we certainly have.

Who would have ever imagined a world such

as we have now. The children are not even

safe in school ,and the teachers have a

hard time, they can not even depend on God

to help them there, God is not allowed

in school , and we wonder what has happened,

we took God out of everything and they

wonder? Leave it to man to mess everything

up. We should be on our knees praying right

now. God, help this nation and leaders to turn

around . I am afraid we have gone too far!

Amen Clara!

I committed to a slower paced life years ago and thank God every day that He showed me, in His wisdom that this was what I had to do to come to know Him better. Sacrifices? Yes, by the world's standards, but my life has been so enriched by NOT being rushed, by having time to share etc. with others and especially, having space, lots of it, for God in my life. Thank you Clara.

Good to hear from you,Karen,I am sure that God never intended for us to always be hurrying and not even have time for a friend or family. It seems that everyone I see is really not enjoying life or the things that they do. I used to work outside of the home and with a family it would get pretty hectic. I see family members now caught in the same cycle ,once you get there it can get hard to get out. That lifestyle can tear a family apart,it seems like the more you make the more you spend, and you lose so much , you can lose your family life and fellowship with God and His people .We need all of this in our lives.l0ve,Clara

I love this poem Clara, you have put it so truthfully. We do need to take everything to God in prayer, it helps us to have relationship and fellowship with our Dear Father. He wants to be involved in our lives, and prayer is our way of communicating with Him. God bless you!

Thank You,Friend , for your comment. There are times when I wonder if I am really doing any good on here, then I get a comment like this and I feel like I am touching some people' s hearts . That is all that I can do , I think and then leave the rest to The Lord. Never in my wildest thoughts did I ever think I would be on here writing to people in so many places. In all of those years I just wrote for myself and a few friends that I would send a poem to now and then. Only a few people even knew that I wrote poetry. We never know what we will do with something that some people thought was just a waste of good time.God knew but I certainly didn't . I hope He gives me a few more years of this . Thank you . Love, Clara

Can We Thank The Lord Enough? A very nice and true message. We owe all we have and all we are to God. Without Him we would be nothing but a helpless failure. GOOD MESSAGE AND GOOD JOB! Keep up the great work. Sending much love, Tessie

Thank You for your comment Tessie . I wasn't sure if you had my message yet.I am going to try to put one on tonight, I will let you know when it is published.I just told Friend just before your comment that I had never ever thought about so many people reading these poems from so many countries. You was probably one of the first people that knew I wrote poetry.I wrote for me , I guess, I think everybody else thought it was just wasting time.Of course back 60+ years ago it was a mixture of subjects,When I promised God I would just write for him alone then my poems changed ,so did I. love you,bye now ,Cherry

A lovely poem and so true. We're always in such a rush that we don't spend enough time talking with our Heavenly Father.

Hello Blossom, I didn't realize that you had put on another comment ,too. No we do not spend enough time with God , we always seem to be so busy that we can't find time for Him and God should come first. After my husband passed away I spend a lot more time reading the Bible ,praying , and on the poems. Just my son and dog live here so I can spend a lot more time on doing the things that I should be doing, My rushing time is over with , I am 84 now and I couldn't rush even if I wanted to .Love,Clara
