Channelled messages but who or what are being channelled? Angels or Demons?
Spirit guides, demons, aliens or what?
Listening to inner voices is something most, if not all, people can probably do although many would not admit to being able to do so because they might be thought of as being "nuts" if they admitted to this. And it is true that mentally ill people often are plagued by voices talking to them and telling them what to do. It is a classic symptom of schizophrenia.

Listening to inner voices
But ask yourself: do you have an inner voice? If so is it always the same one? Can you talk to yourself internally? Have you ever heard voices?
Is there somewhere in your mind that you can hear speech or music? Think of a friend's voice or a song you like. Where are you hearing them? What is playing or making that inner sound or words?
But, whilst many people would not wish to admit to having inner voices, other people are only too happy to reveal what voices tell them. Some cults and books and belief systems are based almost entirely on spirit messages or "channelled" communications. Some people become very financially successful through telling others either directly or via books and recordings what they say they are being told by other beings.
There are people who are known as "mediums" who receive messages that only they can hear. These messages are said to be from spirits of the dead, from spirit guides and also from ETs and "ascended masters". The religion of spiritualism is based around mediumship and believers contacting the deceased via the help of a medium.
In paranormal research and the wide area of New Age beliefs and literature there are a vast number of channelled texts, information and people who claim to be channels. In the Bible there are dire warnings and threats against this interaction with familiar spirits.
A man or woman that hath a familiar spirit, or that is a wizard, shall surely be put to death; they shall stone them with stones; their blood shall be upon them.
There shall not be found among you anyone that maketh his son or his daughter to pass through the fire,or that useth divination,or an observer of times,or an enchanter or a witch,
11 or a charmer,or a consulter with familiar spirits, or a wizard,or a necromancer.
12 For all that do these things are an abomination unto the Lord: and because of these abominations the Lord thy God doth drive them out from before thee.
Cults such as Unarius were built around Ernest L Norman and Ruth Norman aka Uriel's channeled messages from "Space brothers." Wikipdeia tells us:
"The founder, and subsequent "channels" and "sub-channels", have written books filled with channeled dissertations from alleged advanced intelligent beings that exist on higher frequency planes. Over 100 volumes have been published since 1954."
At one point Ruth Norman believed that a fleet of spacecraft from the various planets of the federation she was channelling were all going to land one on top of the other on her land and build a tower of ships with each one representing the culture of a specific planet. Sadly it never happened!
I mention that because it seems very important to me to note that so much channeled info fails to come true if it is a prediction or conflicts badly with other such information meaning that one version at least is a lie, or simply isn't true.
The excellent book The Gods of Eden by William Bramley looks at how humanity has been led astray and kept prisoners over the millennia by other-world beings who interact with us and give us messages, religions, prophesies and rules and regulations. These beings can appear as angels, as aliens, as gods, but in all cases, according to Bramley, they are acting as our "custodians". We are their captives. We are living in a manipulated and controlled human zoo.
The book Oahspe was channelled via automatic writing to and through John Ballou Newborough. It is called "A New Bible." The old Bible would find fault with it straight away seeing as it has been channeled by spirits.
Infamous occultist Aleister Crowley channelled much of his work including The Book of the Law. This book was said to have been dictated to him by a being calling itself Aiwass.
Personally, I do not trust inner voices or most channellings, nor do I trust what mediums may say. In many years of research and experience I have seen very many examples of where the messages have not been true. It is clear to me that the "spirits" can be liars, tellers of partial truths, or are merely inventions of the channel or medium communicating their words.
Much of what is called channelled material does not actually communicate anything new, no new information, but is just a remix and rewording of what others have said or written. Much of it is couched in long descriptions and tends to have the same form of terminology.
You will find many references to "illusion" and "density" and "vibrations" in channelled messages, and possibly some information about Atlantis to spice it all up. It is easy to get bored with channelled messages. I say this because it has happened to me. I have read far too many similar-sounding passages in assorted books over the years. I am waiting for someone with something different to have their say.
Why are there so many people channelling "ascended masters" or going one better and actually claiming to be ascended masters?
Who are the real ascended masters? Can we believe them? Why are they all male? Why are there not ascended mistresses?
So where is all this stuff coming from? Why is so much of it unreliable? Is any of it to be trusted?
I am sure quite a lot of stuff that comes over is a projection of the ego, the desires and the imagination of the person channelling it. I am also certain that vulnerable people can be controlled by a medium or psychic in the same way that people will listen to a priest.
Peggy Kane has a new spin on the subject. She has followed on from the idea put forward by David Icke and others that there are harmful reptilian aliens operating from another dimension that control people and affairs in this one. These beings are the equivalent of demons or evil spirits.
Peggy, however, claims that the vast majority of all beings that are communicating psychically to people are in fact reptilians. She even says that Icke himself has been got at by these beings.
Peggy uses a system known as EVP or Reverse Speaking to get to the truth.
Many years ago I was a Scientologist and came across a term in L Ron Hubbard's work that for me explained where some of these voices came from. He uses the term "demon circuit" which "takes over a portion of the analyzer (analytical mind) and acts as an individual being."
This made sense to me because spirits that speak to and through people are acting as "individual beings." But are they really? Or are they parts of the medium communicating?
Hubbard gave the advice, I remember reading, that if you have such a demon circuit that it is a bad idea to talk back to it or listen to it because doing this just strengthens it. Hubbard also talks about "valences" which are like adopted personalities and identities.
I had a friend who died about ten years back, whose real name was Tony but he called himself Merlin Starr. He was diagnosed as schizophrenic and spent a lot of time having psychiatric treatment. He was involved with some spiritualists from Swansea and Cardiff. At one point he produced a book of writings and geometric drawings that he said was channeled to him by the archangel Raziel.
At around that time he also nearly starved himself and was put on section at a local hospital. Several years later he died. I would think due to the harmful effects of all the psychiatric drugs he had taken. I don't know what happened to any of his writings but none of it was a good advert for how to live or the benefits of listening to "angels" or to any of his "mystical" advice.
Most importantly of all I would suggest: how do we know whether any spirit being or inner voice is who it says it is? How do we know if we can count on believing these "beings" and messages? How is intuition different to listening to an inner voice, or is it different?
Are we talking to parts of ourselves? Are we talking to good ETs, guardian spirits, spirits of the dead or are we listening to demons and harmful ETs and other dimensional beings? How can we test the spirits?
I believe very much in telepathic communication as a reality and in the reality of ET races who normally communicate this way, so in many ways I am all for this form of communication whilst at the same time also very wary of accepting what is being said as the truth.
I often think that humans as a race might do a lot better at sorting our very real problems out if we cut out listening to other-worldly and divine messengers and forgot about prophecies good and bad and about the threats and penalties that all religions and cults are keen to hand out. It all looks like a control system to me but who are the controllers?
