Choosing God over the World
Modern Psychology did the American public a disservice. Instead of offering hope, they severely undermined the institutions of marriage and the family. It's true. Freud, Skinner, and a host of other Atheistic psychologists took a jackhammer to our Judeo-Christian foundations and replaced it with the shifting sand of behaviorist lies and regressive- memory confusion. Wrecked marriages, rebellious children, sociopathic adults, and misguided sexual orientation (homosexuality and lesbianism), lie strewn about in the wake of their psycho- babble deluge. Their psychology is useless for any good; set on a course for hell; fit only for the refuse pile. It’s time to flush it down the toilet.
Jesus condemned the Pharisees for transforming their disciples into 'twice the sons of hell' as they had become. These foolish medicine men of the mind have done the same with our culture and society. Like the traveling hucksters of old, they pitched their elixirs of mental healing bliss to the gullible masses, promising the world, delivering emptiness. It's no wonder that hell walks around on two legs in most of our communities today. Modern psychology spews forth lies. Many have succumbed. The Devil has had a field day.
The bedrock of any nation is the family. If you destroy this institution, you destroy the country and eventually civilization. What can we do?
God has a plan. It’s starts with one family who decides to utterly reject Freud, Skinner, and the rest of their useless theories and choose God’s way over their politically correct garbage. It only takes one committed family or person - just one. God likes to use the remnant.
A domino effect then occurs and soon others follow the train, and together they mount a holy rebellion against the world system. The more the devil tries to eradicate this movement, the more this weed continually grows. The Kingdom of God operates this way. It starts small and becomes a gigantic oak tree. The yeast will leaven the dough. The gates of hell will not prevail against God’s move. It will not win.
I would like now to repeat the comparisons between the world’s values and God’s values. It just makes the choices clearer. As an added exercise, try to find the verses that match the values, even the bad ones. I have added a few more value comparisons to the list. Take them all to heart and live again.
The world system promotes self-esteem; God promotes humility. The world system promotes reasoning with arrogance; God promotes shutting up and discipline. The world system promotes therapy; God promotes repentance. The world system promotes a child-centered family; God promotes a husband and wife centered family. The world system promotes intelligence; God promotes character. The world system promotes the flesh; God promotes the Spirit. The world system promotes money; God promotes God. The world system promotes comfort; God promotes thankfulness in all circumstances. The world system promotes entertainment; God promotes purity. The world system promotes the temporal; God promotes the eternal.
The world system promotes narcissism; God promotes loving others. The world system promotes entitlement; God promotes responsibility. The world system promotes the easy road; God promotes resourcefulness. The world system promotes all roads; God promotes The Way, The Truth, and The Life. The world system promotes the ends justifies the means; God promotes holiness at all times. The world system promotes the path of death; God promotes the way to life.
Hear what the Spirit of the Lord is saying. Choose life. Love you folks.
