Do ghosts exist, is immortality possible, do spirits last forever - Deep questions

Ask me if I believe in stars and my answer is - "They are Spiritual beings that are immortal and infinitely bound to the Universe."

By Aunt Owwee
By Aunt Owwee | Source

"I ain't afraid of no Ghost"

I don't call them ghosts per say, I call them undead spirits, and I consider myself a very spiritually conscious person who can sense when these bad boys enter any zone of the living.

If you turn off your receptors to such phenomena then it is a chance for you not to detect its presence when it in fact is around you, because its not always how Hollywood projects things to be seen. Spirits are in everything all throughout nature, and yes they are infinitely bound to it thanks to our awesome creator known as God by many.

Understanding the dead

The more understanding and open minded you choose to become, the greater chance that you have to visualize such an occurrence as they titled the name, "Ghost Sightings", I like to think of such things as no different from quantum mechanics, or chaos theory, where many scientist and quantum physicist have been trying to prove such similar non visible entities, that may actually be spiritual forces in fact. Them darn mad scientists, they've been trying to manipulate these sorts of things with their sophisticated scientific methods for centuries.

Science is a very funny subject to say the least, and mainly because it goes a bit deeper into the crux and crevices of seen and unseen realities, the visible as well as non-visible intangible things that in fact exist, but are terribly difficult to explain.

I think if a quantum physicist can build a machine (Large Hadron Collider) to manipulate subatomic particles at such a degree to actually prove certain theories such as the Higgs Boson. So, why can't it be possible to some day see a ghost, which is simply a metaphysical and elemental shift in our own human perspective view on the spiritual realm of things, mainly due to the majority of us humans feeling that seeing is believing.

Immortality is as real as Science

The belief in such a reality as an immortal, which is an everlasting being in actuality is also possible, and I myself not only do believe there are such beings as spirits that last for ever. I also can sense that all of humanity has stemmed from a very fine point in space, in which resided there a single entity or consciousness that must have decided to split itself into multiple parts, and far over billions of times. Then with the ability to shape shift, and take to differing forms in and out of itself to become something else entirely that could be visibly seen as a consumer of sorts, craving to expand to become whole again.

The universe is filled with such creators and the ones that are not visible have the tendency to have the greatest appetite's for trying to expand on their horizons, and this is how I see the whole immortal spirit thing that someone might ask about, and even the ghost stuff.

God was and still is this being, that simply decided to duplicate, and replicate itself in my honest opinion, and this thought process in itself actually pulls in the creation theory, the big bang theory, and even evolution into view and perspective, because how else can we explain all of these differing, but similar types of phenomena to have actually occurred at all. This is my best explanation, and I hope it suffices as a good enough answer to this pretty awesome question that was asked.

"The more understanding and open minded you choose to become, the greater chance that you have to visualize such an occurrence" - I do agree with You here, if one is not ready - one cannot go There.

"So, why can't it be possible to some day see a ghost, which is simply a metaphysical and elemental shift in our own human perspective " - Indeed, why not? Our perception is limited for the most part but if we learn to open doors of perception, we can learn a lot more about many new things. Just my opinion.

"I also can sense that all of humanity has stemmed from a very fine point in space, in which resided there a single entity or consciousness that must have decided to split itself into multiple parts, and far over billions of times" - Beautifully put. All is Creation from the Source. Tha Law of One: All is connected, All is One.

I enjoyed the read. Thank You for your insight.

All the best!

Interesting Hub!!! Scientifically we are told that energy never dies just changes form. Therefore, I don't think we truly die, just change form. Well Done!!!

Perhaps, Science doesn't want to acknowledge they exist. To do so would send so many of their thought patterns into chaos that recovery would be impossible. Although many now utilize technology to "Ghosthunt", if a formula doesn't exist that can be chalkboarded, a scientist can't understand it. Great Hub!

Very well written hub. Ghosts, spirits, and other paranormal activity does exist. I see something of this type almost every day. I've seen ghosts, spirits, and other paranormal activity for over 50 years. And I think there are some people who can see things of this type and some people who can not. No I haven't stopped taking my medicine. I've been researching this subject for almost 50 years now and I know ghosts are very real. Check out my profile for some of my Hub Pages on the subject.

Good article. I have always believed that there are spirits around us and that we go on in some form after our earthly bodies die. Our bodies are just shells that contain our spirits and in a sense our spirits are more free after death than when chained to a physical body. I have had some encounters after my grandfather passed which I truly believe have been initiated by his spirit.

I do believe because I saw a young man sitting in my closet, when he realized I was looking at him he put his right arm though my husbands clothes then he was gone.

voted up and interesting, Joyce.

Awesome hub. Very thought provoking. I feel like I've sensed ghosts, but I've never actually seen one. I'm open to it, though. I've always believed that there is so much more than we can see and if we're open to it, we can let it manifest. Thanks for sharing this.

Interesting perspective on the paranormal. I once heard that some scientists theorized that ghosts and aberrations were actually hallucinations caused by some enviro-chemical/brain interaction. As far as I could tell, they haven't been able to prove it. It is, however, in interesting hypothesis.

Cloudexplorer, this is the 3rd Ghost topic that I've read for the day and as I just mentioned in my comments from the other fellow hubber, I hope I am not attracting it. :( I believed in spirits, felt and saw them myself, so there's nothing to argue. Very interesting, exceptionally penned. You have my vote and although this kind of stories are interesting for me, I don't want to read anymore hubs for today. (: I'm afraid, I might open another one on ghosts and what have you. So, this is going to be my last read for the night. I enjoyed it though. (: Goodnight my cyberfriend.

Very interesting. There is for sure that unseen realm, and I have had a glimpse into it (which I have been thinking of writing a hub about, but it is the real deal, so I want to make sure I write is well and at the right time.) Not sure about ghosts, as I believe once absent the body present with Jesus. However, I know my mother told me she saw her mother after she died young from lung cancer, calling her to breakfast, and she was wide awake, so I know there are things that are unexplained. I know my uncle, after his first and only son and only child was born, saw his mother, who had passed on a good while ago, smiling and adoring her grandson. I know the mind is amazing and can take us places unexplained, and I am always amazed that a schizophrenic person really believes all the people he sees and hears are actually right there, which actually makes me think of that unseen realm and demons. I do know that we must be careful to not open that door and invite spirits, evil, into our lives and minds, as they sure will come right on in!!! And we may not even realize we have done so. In His Love, Faith Reaper

Thank you @Mr Happy, for your rave review of my hub here, your comment was highly commendable for sure, and I just would like to say that I truly appreciate your kind words of insight and in depth thorough inspection.

The universe is vastly expanding and consuming more and more empty space I guess, and for that matter I like to think of it all as it being a single entity reaching outwards for more.

Excellent - My respect level for you was high but it just soared through the universe. You have a wonderful mind and spelled this out perfectly.

Besides, aren't we all energy? And energy doesn't just disperse. It has to go somewhere?

I just cannot thank you enough for commenting on my poem "Arousal", and by the way, thanks for the great comment. More importantly, it made me curious to see what kind of writing you do, and I'm so excited and can't wait to read all of your work. The very subjects that have been my lifelong interest and study, spirituality, "Magick", and Quantum Physics which I personally believe can synthesize all three into one Reality. Thank you again for leading me to discover you and your work. dotti

Thanks @Patty Kenyon for the cool insight, You 're 1000% accurate in your understanding there that of which science has conjured up.

I also believe that same premise, and energy can neither be created nor destroyed, all of it simply gets transferred. Yes I do agree.

Great hub! yeah ive read that too about Science arguing that people who've said to seen dead people or felt presences or etc, were based on chemical or environmental stress reasons. Or a way to cope with losing a loved one. I guess we won't be able to know for sure until we actually pass on.

Mike, this is one awesomely interesting hub. I agree with your saying

" a point in space, in which resided there a single entity or consciousness that must have decided to split itself into multiple parts, and far over billions of times. Then with the ability to shape shift, and take to differing forms in and out of itself to become something else entirely that could be visibly seen as a consumer of sorts, craving to expand to become whole again".

Sikhism, my religion, points out to this by saying that God exists in 2 forms - the nirgun and the sargun - in one form He exists by himself totally when He withdraws and in the other form He exists by way of His various manifestations, that is, the living things.

Similarly, its said the soul never dies. It might take rebirth or may stay as it is if it is a good soul. Even the bad souls, the so called ghosts have a period of suffering which has to and will end one day. And then they are again into the vicious cycle of births and deaths till they are drawn out of this cycle by the Lord.

Quite an interesting read.

Voted up, awesome and interesting.

@josh3418, Yeah man, the question that this hub answers was really cool, and I figured why not take a shot at writing a hub for it all and it looks like people actually like it very much, and so I guess its a winner bro.

I think I'm going to keep answering many more questions in this way from now on, because its weird how it all turns out, and is fun as well Josh.

I have sensed the supernatural myself @CClitgirl, and so I know the feeling, and no one could tell me otherwise, this is why I feel seeing isn't really believing at all.

Thanks @CWanamaker, I heard of those scientific experiments as well, and a bit other news about the paranormal as well, as being as result of hallucinations, but I don't think its the case for people who don't consume any drugs or being affected by any chemical pollutants of sorts.

CloudExplorer profile image

@CrisSp, Thanks for stopping by, and yup I felt spirits before myself, and so this is why I had to answer this question up in the Q&A area with such a hub.

CloudExplorer profile image

CloudExplorer 4 years ago from New York City Author

@Faith Reaper, Thanks the insightful comment once again I owe you and everyone some visits, and lately been overwhelmed by a great deal of communications from fellow hubbers, but in due time I will make it up for sure.

Yeah life is full of unknown things, and I feel that we can detect on the spirit level, and with our minds a great deal of it as well, but with the naked eye we really see very little if anything that's truly here & present with us all.

CloudExplorer profile image

CloudExplorer 4 years ago from New York City Author

@D.Juris Stetser, Yeah my mom got my into the mystical side of life, and my uncle got me into the scientific aspect of things, and I decided to combine the two, and then my faith in God years later sealed the deal pretty much, and here it is.

Thanks for your cool comment here and for sharing with me too.

Thank you for your cool comment here @Lovelovemeloveme, we sure will find out won't we after we proceed to the after life, you got that right.

CloudExplorer profile image

CloudExplorer 4 years ago from New York City Author

Yes Rajan, I believe in such things as well, mainly because if you look deeper into the universe itself you will see the same continual patterns of such a duality as your religion speaks of, birth and re-rebirth is infinite in my mind, and is always present as things go in and out of existence in space time pretty much.

The cycles of life are also so prevalent everywhere on earth as well, and so such a understanding of the inner and outer workings of things is also achievable, even by scientists themselves, both on the physical and non-physical planes of existence.

I totally believe it, but prefer to refer to them as spirits rather than ghosts. The spirit of my husband who passed away two years ago is around me all the time and I have even learned to converse with him telepathically. He tried so very hard to connect with me that there was eventually no way that I could no more deny it than I could deny my own name. Thank you for this article and your insights and thoughts on it.

CloudExplorer profile image

CloudExplorer 4 years ago from New York City Author

@craiglyn, thanks you for sharing your insight here about your husband, I have yet to see or hear a spirit, but I can sense that they are here myself, and when they come around my hairs stand up pretty much, and I know its them for sure. So yup, for everyone it is a differing experience indeed.

craiglyn profile image

craiglyn 4 years ago from Ontario, Canada

When I say I hear spirit - I mean not as a voice - but as thoughts that go through my head that I know are not my thoughts. It would have to be an experience I believe you would have after losing someone very close to you - to recognize that these thoughts are theirs and not yours.

CloudExplorer profile image

CloudExplorer 4 years ago from New York City Author

I understand what yo mean Craiglyn, I lost my mother to breast cancer, and my granddad to throat cancer, and so I empathize with you for sure. I can detect their presence for sure, and yes indeed it is spiritual in all essence when I too detect them, so again I shall have no choice but to agree with you on that premise as well.

Thanks for following up on my response back to you, and for sharing with me yet a second time, it was truly appreciated by me for sure.

An interesting article, I like it when people delve into different ideas for hubs, and ghosts is certainly interesting for sure, I've never seen one myself and don't have much to comment about it. You have over 300 articles? wow. that's a lot to catch up on. I love your articles about eating healthy.

CloudExplorer profile image

@schoolgirlforreal, thanks for the comment I figured I'd take a stab at answering that quite interesting Q&A question about ghosts and all. Many times I find answering those a challenge, and doing it in the form of a hub even more challenging, which in fact motivates me to churn out what you see here Blondey.

Some topic inspirations do indeed come from some of the strangest places today.

It does feel good to finally get my thought process focused enough to organize it all into these hubs. I always wanted to write on a professional level, but never really had a platform such as this, and so I am tickled pink to be a hubber, and to explore the potentials, which are indeed unlimited when it comes to writing online.

Oh and also Thanks for sharing with me, that was cool!

I had difficulty with reading comprehension in grammar school, actually, and I've mostly read fun books like Harry Potter and romance and the Twilight series, though I fondly remember reading books for school like "The Island of the Blue Dolphins" or "Tom Sawyer" and many others of which I could not fully grasp all of it. Do you think you have to read things more than once? I do.

Anways, I love the video, it's absolutely beautiful. Need to watch science more, suddenly an interest of mine.

Ghosts I still cannot say what they are. I believe in an afterlife and I really don't see a purpose for ghosts if souls go to hell or heaven but maybe there is one, i don't know. :)

CloudExplorer profile image

CloudExplorer 3 years ago from New York City Author

Yeah me too, I had issues with such a thing as well in my youthful years. One thing though is once I began to navigate towards the subjects that interested me the most, I also quickly began to notice a sudden shift in my attention span. I could engulf entire text books at a time, I use to read all night long at times science text books, math text books etc...

My brain must have swelled up LOL, so that gives you a small picture of what my mental picture tube of sorts had been exposed too :) back then and till now. Then there was my crash course with engineering at college. Yup that was quite the adventure, and I wrote a bunch of hubs when I first got to this awesome network that show cased much of those experiences in great detail.

I was a Civil Engineering great hopeful, but dropped out of college in my senior year due to lack of funding, which is the story of my life, and many other students worldwide unfortunately.

Being born and raised into a poor family isn't easy no way no how, but it won't stop any of us from pursuing our dreams today online. Many of us are most definitely revved up to the nth degree, to make it out here, and so now you see where much of my motivation has derived from.

Thanks Blondey for your deep insight and info of a somewhat personal nature, it was both enlightening and well worth the time to digest and for me to share yet another aspect of myself. Cool beans, "oh and I ain't afraid of no Ghosts." LMFAO!
