Does a Creator Exist

As fas as I am concern, the wonderful things around me are created by a very powerful entity which is called by most as God.

Because of love, my unique identity, my conscious conscience and karma tells me so.
Because of love, my unique identity, my conscious conscience and karma tells me so.

I believe that a Supreme Being called God exists.

SOur innate nature and features, and scientific breakthroughs and milestones can justify the presence of a Mighty Creator, a compassionate, very loving and whose intelligence is infinite and beyond compare. Does a God really exists? For me I think he is. Why? Because I could not help marvel about the wonderful things around me and I am truly overwhelmed with all of things inside me that says with zest that their is God.

1. Conscience - The conscience is one of the most overlooked innate crap of a human being, but with it, an individual is conscious with his/her behavior and actions. The conscience is the yardstick of our good interaction with the people around us, and also the barometer of how good should we treat our loved ones like our family, relatives, and friends to the best of our capabilities. Conscience should blend well with the norms of the society, otherwise, we will commit unlawful acts that could expose us to shame or worst lead us to jail grasping the cold iron bars there, hehehe. Conscience is one of the hidden proofs of God's existence, when we do good deeds we tend to get happy (depending on the magnitude of the complements we share or give and also to whom our good deeds are for, will determine how much happiness we could extract from each good deed we make). But when we do no good to somebody else, we will usually have the feeling of being miserable, as guilt will haunts our hearts and mind. But there is an argument here, is our conscience reliant with the norms of the society? Can it be taught? Or, Can it be transferred and altered perhaps from one person to another? How about those cannibals? How about those criminals? Do these persons exhibit the presence of conscience on their hearts? One thing is for sure though, our conscience will always be a light in the darkness, for with it, we will be enlightened on how to be responsible citizens and civilized in a manner that will not only please other people but to fit in to the Constitution-backed social structure with appropriate behaviors, sound mind and fair and square objectives and goals. With the issue about the cannibals, this is totally different, although they are part of a certain nation's territory and constitution, they are not educated, but rather ignorant and not taught with the necessary things to be a rightful, civilized and responsible citizen. For there will be transgression only when there is a law imposed, and these cannibals are not even aware of this laws. Now if God really exists he has his own way of judging these ethnic people, but I believe there a Supreme Being who created all the wonderful things around us and I leave the judging to him. With respect to the criminals, however, many factors will be considered but no one can refute the fact that a person with a sound mind will never think of something that would harm others and in return will held him liable for his/her wrongdoing(s) and if ever he/she commit a crime he will readily accept the consequences of his unlawful act. But in most cases of criminals especially those with heavy sentences, the conscience of these individuals could have been damaged or much worst, eliminated because of psychological imbalances or psychological problems. Alas, many criminals had pleaded guilty succumbing to their conscience inside them.

2. Love - A normal person is eager to be loved and likewise eager to love for this is the most important thing that will happen in a man's life. Most of us now exists because of the love shared by our parents. We will always cherish the fine moments with those people close to us like our partners, bosom friends, relatives and the likes, and it is love that made these possible. Our conscience will not be bothered when we do lovely things towards people around us. Thus, love just complements our conscience, just like chariot with a horse. Life would be full of sorrow and could be useless without this four letter word called LOVE.

3. To see is to believe - How can we say that a man has a brain when we don't even see it with our bare eyes, how can we say that a table was made by a man when we don't see how it is done. Seeing in believing is potentially very dangerous and not a valid excuse but is lame and completely irrational and illogical, and would throw someone right off especially the learnt ones with these misleading phrase. Again with due respect I believe that there is God for the nth time because I see his well-crafted wonders in the forms of majestic mountains, magnificent seas, and breathtaking jungles teeming with awesome animals.

4. Uniqueness - No matter there are billions of humans that live in our very own planet, no two individuals are alike. Even identical twins have distinct differences from each other. Our thumb will show us our unique identity with each other. This distinctiveness endowed to an individual makes our existence special and essential. If you know your importance in this world you'll try to do the best you can to earn a good living or realize your goals and/or even dreams or perhaps accomplish your purpose of living. For if you feel you are useless you would be doing nothing or just contemplating about the life's bitterness at all times. Having the feeling of being important and knowing the purpose of your existence are the testament that GOD exists.

5. The ability to meditate and prayer - Meditation will surely make you at one with a Supreme Being and gives you too much bliss and a very smooth feeling as if you are floating in cloud nine. Prayers will always keep you away from harm. Everytime you do praying when traveling or you pray before sleeping keep assured you are safe from threats and dangers.

6. Karma - The Third Newton's Law of motion states that "For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction." This is karma and every action a man does will surely produce results. If you do good you will have good results otherwise you will not. When doing bad things and the result is good this is certainly awkward, wakikik.

7. There are a lot of scientists that believed in God's existence and the lists will have many, and two of them happens to be "The father of Physics", Isaac Newton who was known to be a religious man so with the modern scientist Albert Einstein. On my next hub I'll be concentrating on Science to somehow shed light to the presence of a Supreme God.

"The most beautiful and profound emotion we can experience is the sensation of the mystical. It is the source of all true science. He to whom this emotion is a stranger, who can no longer wonder and stand rapt in awe, is as good as dead. To know that what is impenetrable to us really exists, manifesting itself as the highest wisdom and the most radiant beauty, which our dull faculties can comprehend only in their primitive forms -- this knowledge, this feeling, is at the center of true religion." --- Einstein said ("Einstein, Albert" in The Enlightened Mind, ed. Stephen Mitchell; New York: Harper Collins, 1991)

"About the time of the end, a body of men will be raised up who will turn their attention to the Prophecies, and insist upon their literal interpretation, in the midst of much clamor and opposition." --- Isaac Newton

This is my eighth entry to the hubchallenge.

Yes, you are Correct in your Belief ... Doubtlessly ... There Is, a Creator ... and it matters little, by what name we call Him ... for we can call him by any Name, but as long as we do not associate anyone, or anything, as His equal ... Thats a Wrong ... a Sin..

You too take care you have brilliant ideas, at some point I'm losing and at some point winning, I consider it a draw... We'll continue our debate with my second hub "Does A Creator Exist Part 2,". Nice meeting a gentleman like you...

"Sometimes it is better not to be acquainted with somebody else on the grounds of principles at first and eventually being friends no matter what are the differences are, than to be a friend with somebody on the grounds of having no principles and eventually abandoning their friendship..." --- generalhowitzer

You are teeming with immense talent and potentials but I hope you'll find the reason of your existence and purpose of being here...

A theory is a theory a fact is fact. Now if' you'll never get past my argument that Darwin's about being shattered by Scientific Method in the experimntation process, then I will delete your replies in the days ahead... As science progresses the more it will strengthen the foundation that God exists and lame theories made by "some" inept and careless scientists will be smothered... With flatness do your own research I think you have a very weak facts with you... Now with religion, I'am not fond of religion so don't tag this word here... Okay wiki is weak, that is respected and noted... tc for dropping by... hehehe i'm quite impressed with your resilience and persistence though...

No, I did not say anything about instinct. I discussed the idea of empirical evidence, namely the evidence we gain through our sensory systems on a day to day basis, and how that evidence is ignored or, at best, pushed to the side in the face of religion and religious arguments. By Wiki I'm assuming you are referring to Wikipedia? Not the best source of information or whatnot from my point of view. So I am not quite sure how I am barking up the wrong tree.

And the idea of your second remark is misleading at best. The idea is that science and evolution is at least "offering" something empirically-based. Science, of course, has had its ups and downs (namely the examples you used concerning the incorrect theory desribing the "flatness" of the Earth) but religion isnt much better. I believe that as our knowledge and science increases and becomes more keen, our theories will become more accurate and will only develop into better representations of our world. It is just interesting that religious arguments cannot even be tested or analyzed...yet people are readily willing to bash scientific-based arguments? Hmm...seems a bit awkward. Our scientific foundations are vital and can be seen in all of our technological and medical achievements and advancements. Like I said in my previous comment...science may be wrong at times, but it is at least pushing towards an empirically-based notion concerning ourselves and our place in the universe. We run and dictate our common, everyday lives based on "seeing IS believing", why not the rest of our issues? Does a religious standpoint even compare to a scientific-based one?...That's a scary question for religious standbys.

"It is interesting that although everything we as humans do throughout our lives is directed, guided, and planned by what our sensory systems pick up, it is immediately ignored in the face of religion." ---- With this You just said that we live by instinct alone, a feature which are naturally endowed on each human, same as saying we live by chance. Wiki define as "an organized approach to human spirituality which usually encompasses a set of narratives, symbols, beliefs and practices, often with a supernatural or transcendent quality, that give meaning to the practitioner's experiences of life through reference to a higher power, God or gods, or ultimate truth.--- I guess you are barking on the wrong tree. But I'm not keen on religion as well, what I'm interested right now is to seek the truth about things around me, how did I exist and what is my purpose of being here...

Let's take a close look at your anecdote:

"If seeing isn't believing or at least worth while of testing and evaluation, then we have a huge problem on our hands, namely that our scientific foundations are shot."

Then why people was misleaded with the Theory of Evolution by Darwin, which has a lot of inaccuracies, still a theory and will inevitably fail the acid test of the scientific method... There is no scientific with scientific theories when they are not still a law or a fact. Knowing something with twisted facts like that provided by Darwin's is indeed a huge blunder. few centuries ago Science made people believe that the world was flat, but the scriptures which are written thousands of years earlier said otherwise, and another big mistake of careless and pretentious scientists is the principle that again mislead a lot of people that the earth is the center of the universe and the universe revolves on it, wow very fascinating yet a fallacy now where is the intellect and substance with these two great blunders, and the third biggest blunder would be that of Darwin's... hehehehe... if there is evolution there will be no more monkeys and apes now... for they all evolved to humans...

The darwin's is "worth while of testing" but failed in many experiments conducted by evolutionists and scientists, remarkable indeed...

Hmm...I do not quite follow. I believe your "seeing is believing" section is a bit misleading. It is interesting that although everything we as humans do throughout our lives is directed, guided, and planned by what our sensory systems pick up, it is immediately ignored in the face of religion. If scientific hypothesis, testing, and evaluating is good enough for everything else we believe in, why is religion an exception? If seeing isn't believing or at least worth while of testing and evaluation, then we have a huge problem on our hands, namely that our scientific foundations are shot. Believing is one thing, but knowing and having worthy evidence and arguments is a whole different ball game. Science and evolution all have multiple "attempts", I'm still awaiting a strong empirical one from a religious standpoint.

Thanks for dropping by Tom, I can't answer you for now for this is a delicate issue... But I would publish the second part of this hub in a week or two, and I hope I could give you substantial info about evolution, so far I amassed information through research about the chinks in the armor of Darwin's hehehe and I'm unleashing them real soon... Thanks for the time tom and take care though.

Darwinian theory in a nutshell: Children have characteristics of both parents, but are not identical to either. Dead animals don't have babies.

I hear of these other scientists, but no one mentions their names. Who are they?

GeneralHowitzer profile image

GeneralHowitzer 7 years ago from Land of Salt, Philippines Author

i didn't fall into the trap, the evolution theory of darwin's has always been linked to evidence from fossils, tom. ah there are many scientists with more respected credentials will argue that darwinian revolutionay theory is no genuine scientific theory...

Tom Koecke profile image

It is too bad that you fall into the trap of believing that Darwin said we evolved from apes. He didn't. Someone else did.

If you didn't fall into that trap, you might give him some credit for taking the time to find fault with evolutionary theory. And why wouldn't he? After all, he majored in Theology in college.

Thanks jesusmyjoy i believe their is Jesus and God, because my heart and mind tells me so, but as much as possible I will not use the holy scriptures to show the wonders of God but through Science, because where are in an arena where miracles are taken for granted and facts are given primary importance, i will use facts and common sense to air my beliefs...

Nobody will know how Jesus is in christians lives and hearts until they give HIM a chance..he says come to me all who are weary and weak, for my yoke is easy.I think some critisize because they just don't know God..they just don't know how the relationship with our Lord in our hearts work..maybe if they give our almighty creator a chance He will speak to their hearts..love the hub

thanks for the tirade their hehehe, i am expecting such a hostile remark. but i do appreciate you find time to drop by. now with intellectual value thing, i am not yet done with the second part of this hub. i will be concentrating on science on my second hub, this is just a warm up though.

for i can't accept the fact that my ancestors are apes, i will never buy that idea, and to say the least darwin's theory of evolution is not an accepted fact until now for it still offers a lot of holes and inaccuracies.

Hello GeneralHowitzer;

I must be honest and candid, your "Hub" is trite and shallow. It contains nothing of intellectual value. it is just an expression of appreciation for the "natural." To relate it all to the "supernatural," is a characteristic of unevolved, primitive human life. We are hanging, by our fingertips, to the first rung of the evolutionary ladder.
