Exposing Fallacies of Christendom

It is a SAD and ILL-ADVISED position for ANYONE to take, when one RELIES on MAN instead of ALMIGHTY God, YHWH [Yahweh, traditionally rendered, Jehovah]. So then, one SHOULD NOT rely on minister, pastor ETC. for SPIRITUAL food, BUT RATHER on EVERY INSPIRED UTTERANCE from Jehovah God. In the Book of Matthew, we read at chapter 4, verse 4: But in reply he said: "It is WRITTEN, 'Man must live, NOT on bread ALONE, but on EVERY utterance coming forth through Jehovah's mouth.' Compare Deuteronomy 8: 3. Jeremiah 17: 5 reads: 'Cursed is the able-bodied man who puts his TRUST in earthling man and ACTUALLY makes flesh his arm[strength], and whose HEART turns AWAY from Jehovah himself.' Verse 6 reads: And he WILL CERTAINLY become like a solitary tree in the desert plain and WILL NOT SEE GOOD when good COMES; but he must reside in parched places in the wilderness, in a salt country that is not inhabited. For SURE, if one DOES NOT put his TRUST in God's words the Bible, but INSTEAD, would RATHER listen to MAN, then that one would be in a SPIRITUAL DROUGHT or WILDERNESS. Not ONLY that, but WHEN good COMES, that one would NOT know. Hence if one believes in a FALSE DOCTRINE, because one DOES NOT SEARCH God's Word, the Bible, but INSTEAD relies on his/her pastor/minister, then EVEN when the TRUTH is mentioned to them they WOULD NOT KNOW. Psalm 1: 1 - 3 : Happy is the man that has NOT walked in the counsel of the wicked ones, And in the way of sinners has NOT stood, And in the seat of ridiculers has NOT sat. But his delight is in the law of Jehovah, And in his law he READS in an undertone DAY and NIGHT. And he WILL CERTAINLY become like a tree planted by STREAMS of WATER, That gives its own FRUIT in ITS SEASON And the foliage of which DOES NOT WITHER, And EVERYTHING he does WILL SUCCEED. Compare with Jeremiah 17: 7 - 8. We SEE then, that the one who SEARCHES God's Word, the Bible, and APPLY it in his/her life WILL become SPIRITUALLY STRONG and WILL bear FRUITAGE of the spirit. At Galatians 5 verse 22 we SEE the fruitage of a spiritual life being: LOVE, JOY, PEACE, LONG-SUFFERING, KINDNESS, GOODNESS, FAITH, MILDNESS, SELF-CONTROL. HONEST-HEARTED persons THEN, should be EAGER to SEARCH the Scriptures for THEMSELVES as did those in Beroea as recorded at Acts 17: 11 which says: Now the latter were more noble-minded than those in Thessalonica, for they received the word with the GREATEST EAGERNESS of MIND, CAREFULLY EXAMINING the Scriptures DAILY as to WHETHER these things WERE SO. May WE also, EXAMINE God's word the Holy Scriptures, DAILY. The English scholar Isaac Newton, best known today for his many contributions to mathematics and physics, also wrote extensively on Biblical matters. In a 1690 treatise entitled An Historical Account of Two Notable Corruptions of Scripture, Newton observed: "In all the vehement universal and lasting controversy about the Trinity in Jerome's time and both before and long enough after it, this text of the 'three in heaven' was never once thought of. It is now in everybody’s mouth and accounted the main text for the business and would assuredly have been so too with them, had it been in their books."[9] Newton's history of the Comma Johanneum reflects his belief that Church history was one of progressive decay from a pure original and that the Comma was introduced, intentionally or by accident, into a Latin text during the fourth or fifth century, a time when he believed the Church to be ripe with corrupti

Newton's history of the Comma Johanneum reflects his belief that Church history was one of progressive decay from a pure original and that the Comma was introduced, intentionally or by accident, into a Latin text during the fourth or fifth century, a time when he believed the Church to be ripe with corruption.[10]

Wikipedia encyclopaedia is quoted below.

Sir Godfry Driver wrote : "The Reformers preferred Jehovah, which first appeared as Iehouah in 1530 in Tyndale's translation of the Pentateuch (Exodus 6.3), from which it passed into other Protestant Bibles." The English transcription "Iehovah” is found in the 1611 edition of the King James Bible, and during the 1762-1769 edit of the KJV , the spelling "Iehovah" was changed to "Jehovah" (in accordance with the general differentiation of I/J and U/V into separate letters which developed over the course of the 17th century in English). Thus began a period where the word was rendered: "Jehovah ". The Jerusalem Bible (1966 ) uses Yahweh exclusively

The editors of the Brown-Driver-Briggs Lexicon state that JHWH occurs 6518 times in the Masoretic Text . While JHWH occurs 6518 times in the Masoretic Text that underlies all editions of the King James Bible, JEHOVAH [in all capitals letters] only occurs 4 times in current editions of the King James Bible : Exodus 6:3 and Psalm 83:18 and Isaiah 12:2 and Isaiah 26:4 (and three more times in place-names). (The King James Bible which is commonly sold in bookstores is an 18th century spelling and punctuation revision of the King James Bible of 1611) Instead of YHWH or Jehovah, the expression "The Lord" (with the word "Lord" in all capital letters) has commonly been used in most English-language Bible translations.

"IEHOVAH" [in all capital letters]. In the King James bible of 1611, the tetragrammaton is predominantly translated (over 6,500 times) as LORD or GOD, all in capital letters e.g. Exodus 6:2, Psalm 110:1, Psalm 113:1, Proverbs 18:10, et al. Four times it is transcribed as JEHOVAH: Exodus 6:3, Psalm 83:18, Isaiah 12:2, and Isaiah 26:4.

In today's world, MANY false teachings are banded around. Because of

the mistaken belief of an immortal soul for instance, there is a plethora

of horror movies FEEDING on this FALLACY.

But, what does The Holy Writings, the Bible, have to say on this subject?

At Genesis 3: 19, we read: In the sweat of your face you will eat bread

until you return to the ground, for DUST you are and to DUST you will

return.

No, my friend, the Scriptures do NOT lie and are in TOTAL agreement.

The Creator, Yahweh or Jehovah, did state that the PENALTY for

disobedience is DEATH, Genesis 2: 17.

What though, is DEATH? Well, according to Psalm 146: 4; when one

dies, one goes back to the ground OR ceases to EXIST, no thoughts,

no memories. One's spirit goes OUT, that is, the lifeforce is GONE. At

Ecclesiastes 9: 5, 6 we read: For the living are conscious that they will

die; but as for the dead, they are conscious of nothing at all, neither do

they anymore have wages, because the remembrance of them has been

forgotten. Also, their love and their hate, and their jealousy have already

perished; and they have no portion anymore to time indefinite in

anything that has to be done under the sun.

Soul means LIFE OR FLESHLY ORGANISM.

At Ezekiel 18: 4, we read: Look! All the souls-- to me they belong. As

the soul of the father so likewise the soul of the son- to me they belong.

The soul that is sinning- it itself will DIE.

If one were to SEARCH the Holy Scriptures for ALL entries of soul,

THEN one would SEE what was intended by this word, RATHER than

the CORRUPTED pagan teachings that EXIST today.

Hell means COMMON GRAVE of mankind.

All WICKEDNESS will be done away with for ALL TIME as shown

at Revelation 21: 8: But as for the cowards and those without faith and those who are

disgusting in their filth and murderers and fornicators and those practicing spiritism and idolators and all the liars, their portion will be in the lake that burns with fire and sulphur.

This MEANS the second DEATH.

Revelation 20: 14 says: And death and hades [translated HELL in MANY translations]

were hurled into the lake of fire. This means the second DEATH, the lake of fire. Verse 15 goes on to show that those who were NOT being offered LIFE EVERLASTING, would likewise be CUT OFF FOREVER in this lake of fire, the SECOND DEATH.

The faithful man, Job, prayed to go to the common grave or HELL [as RENDERED by MANY

TRANSLATIONS], at Job 14: 13. This also confirms that Job believed in a RESURRECTION.

Jesus Christ, the Messiah and Son of God was resurrected from the grave or HELL, as shown

at Acts 2: 27, 31, 32; Psalm 16: 10.

Please refer to attachments on SOUL, HELL, Hades, Sheol, for further information.

Hell

A word used in the King James Version (as well as in the Catholic Douay Version and most older translations) to translate the Hebrew she'ohl' and the Greek hai'des. In the King James Version the word "hell" is rendered from she'ohl' 31 times and from hai'des 10 times. This version is not consistent, however, since she'ohl' is also translated 31 times "grave" and 3 times "pit." In the Douay Version she'ohl' is rendered "hell" 64 times, "pit" once, and "death" once.

In 1885, with the publication of the complete English Revised Version, the original word she'ohl' was in many places transliterated into the English text of the Hebrew Scriptures, though, in most occurrences, "grave" and "pit" were used, and "hell" is found some 14 times. This was a point on which the American committee disagreed with the British revisers, and so, when producing the American Standard Version (1901) they transliterated she'ohl' in all 65 of its appearances. Both versions transliterated hai'des in the Christian Greek Scriptures in all ten of its occurrences, though the Greek word Ge'en-na (English, "Gehenna") is rendered "hell" throughout, as is trueof many other modern translations.

The meaning given today to the word "hell" is that portrayed in Dante's Divine Comedy and Milton's Paradise Lost, which meaning is completely foreign to the original definition of the word. The idea of a "hell" of fiery torment, however, dates back long before Dante and Milton. The Groiler Universal Encyclopedia (1971, Vol. 9, p 205) under "Hell" says: "Hindus and Buddhists regard hell as a place of spiritual cleansing and final restoration. Islamic tradition considers it as a place of everlasting punishment." The idea of suffering after death is found among the pagan religious teachings of ancient peoples in Babylon and Egypt. Babylonian and Assyrian beliefs depicted the "nether world...... as a place full of horrors.... presided over by gods and demons of great strength and fierceness."Although ancient Egyptian religious texts do not teach that the burning of any individual victim would go on forever, they do portray the "Other World" as featuring "pits of fire" for "the damned.".....The Religion of Babylonia and Assyria, by Morris Jastrow, Jr., 1898, p. 581; The Book of the Dead, with introduction by E. Wallis Budge, 1960, pp. 135, 144, 149, 151, 153, 161, 200.

"Hellfire" has been a basic teaching in Christendom for many centuries, it is understandable why The Encyclopedia Americana (1956, Vol. XIV, p. 81) said: " Much confusion and misunderstanding has been caused through the early translators of the Bible persistently rendering the Hebrew Sheol and the Greek Hades and Gehenna by the word hell. The simple transliteration of these words by the translators of the revised editions of the Bible has not sufficed to appreciably clear up this confusion and misconception." Nevertheless, such transliteration and consistent rendering does enable the Bible student to make an accurate comparison of the texts in which these original words appear and, with open mind, thereby to arrive at a correct understanding of their true significance.

HELL

Suffering Job prayed to go there; Job 14:13

O that in She'ol you would conceal me, that you would keep me secret until your anger turns back,

that you would set a time for me and remember me. It should be noted that "hell" as in the King James version of the Bible was translated from the Hebrew She'ohl or She'ol.

She'ol / hell is a place of inactivity.

For in death there is no mention of you, in She'ol who will laud you? Psalm 6:5.

All that your hand finds to do, do with your very power for there is no work nor devising nor knowledge nor wisdom in She'ol, the place to which you are going. So says Ecclesiastes 9:10.

For it is not She'ol that can laud you, death itself cannot praise you. Those going down into the pit cannot look hopefully to your trueness. The living, the living, he is the one that can laud you. Just as I can this day. The father himself can give knowledge to his own sons concerning your trueness. Isaiah 38: 18, 19.

Jesus was raised from grave, hell.

..... because you will not leave my soul in Ha'des, neither will you allow your loyal one to see corruption. ....... he saw beforehand and spoke concerning the resurrection of the Christ, that neither was he forsaken in Ha'des nor did his flesh see corruption. This Jesus God resurrected, of which fact we are all witnesses. Acts 2: 27, 31, 32.

For you will not leave my soul in She'ol. You will not allow your loyal one to see the pit. Psalm 16:10.

Special Note: Hai'des/ ha'des is Greek in contrast to the Hebrew She'ohl/ She'ol; Peter's quotation of Psalm 16:10 shows Hades is the equivalent of Sheol and is applied to the common grave of mankind (in contrast with the Greek word ta'phos, an individual grave).

Hell will deliver up other dead, be destroyed.

And the sea gave up those dead in it, and death and Hades gave up those dead in them, and they were judged individually according to their deeds. And death and Ha'des were hurled into the lake of fire. This means the second death, the lake of fire. Revelation 20: 13, 14.

Fire is a symbol of annihilation.

Cutting off in death symbolized by fire. ............ Mt 25:41, 46; 13:30

Unrepentant wicked destroyed forever as by fire. ........ Heb 10:26, 27

Satan's fiery "torment" is everlasting death. ........Re 20:10, 14, 15.

Rich man and Lazarus account no proof of eternal torment

Fire no more literal than Abraham's bosom. .............. Lu 16:22-24

Abraham's favour also contrasted with darkness. .........Mt 8:11, 12

Babylons's annihilation called a fiery torment. .........Re 18:8-10, 21.

"Gehenna"--- Symbol of Complete Destruction

"Gehenna"means "valley of Hinnom" for it is the Greek form of the Hebrew geh hin-nom'. In Joshua 18:16, where "valley of Hinnom" occurs, the Greek Septuagint reads "Gehenna." It occurs 12 times in the Christian Greek Scriptures, first appearing in Mt 5:22. .......................; whereas whoever says, 'You despicable fool!' will be liable to the fiery Ge-hen'na.

The valley of Hinnon became the dumping place and incinerator for the filth of Jerusalem. Bodies of dead animals were thrown to be consumed in the fires to which sulphur, or brimstone, was added to assist the burning. Also bodies of executed criminals, who were considered undeserving of a decent burial in a memorial tomb, were thrown in. If such dead bodies landed in the fire they were consumed, but if their carcasses landed upon a ledge of the deep ravine their putrefying flesh became infested with worms, or maggots, which did not die until they consumed the fleshy parts, leaving only the skeletons.

No living animals or human creatures were pitched into Gehenna to be burned alive or tormented. Hence, the place could never symbolize an invisible region where human souls are tormented eternally in literal fire or attacked by undying worms. Because the dead criminals cast there were denied a decent burial in a memorial tomb, the symbol of the the hope of a resurrection, Gehenna was used by Jesus and his disciples to symbolize everlasting destruction, annhilation from God's universe, or "second death," an eternal punishment.

2In hope of eternal life, which God, that cannot lie, promised before the world began;

Christendom is a name given to the entirety of those who claim to be Christians. It can be said that those within this group worship Jesus Christ, as God.

I hastily add, that there are some who call themselves Christians who ARE DIFFERENT from those within Christendom, one such movement is referred to as Jehovah's Witnesses.

The disunity of those who profess Christianity dates back from the first century C.E. As a matter of FACT the very doctrine of Trinity [not Biblical] came about from the efforts of Roman emperor Constantine's attempt to unite the 'factions' [supported by his 'converted' mother Helena].

Although there is available today an abundance of information to show the pagan attributes of the Trinity doctrine, this article shall use the Bible, the ONLY TRUE AUTHORITY of TRUE CHRISTIANS to distinguish The Only Living God Almighty [YHWH, translated

JEHOVAH in English] and the One whom God SENT [John 8:42], Jesus the anointed One [Christ] or Messiah.

John 8:42 reads: Jesus said to them: "If God were your Father, you would love me , for from

God I came forth and am here. Neither have I come of my own initiative at all, but that

One sent me forth.

Firstly, the Tetragrammaton YHWH, which is translated as Yahweh and Jehovah, means; He

Causes To Become.

It should also be noted that God's personal Name represented by YHWH is ALMOST ALWAYS rendered as LORD or GOD in MOST Bible translations {even though it exists nearly 7,000 times in the manuscripts from which Bibles were translated [Hebrew text also called Old Testament by Christendom]} .

Jesus means Jehovah is Salvation, as does, Isaiah.

The Wikipedia states:

The editors of the Brown-Driver-Briggs Lexicon state that YHWH occurs 6518 times in the Masoretic Text . While YHWH occurs 6518 times in the Masoretic Text that underlies all editions of the King James Bible, JEHOVAH [in all capitals letters] only occurs 4 times in current editions of the King James Bible : Exodus 6:3 and Psalm 83:18 and Isaiah 12:2 and Isaiah 26:4 (and three more times in place-names).

Why Jesus is NOT JEHOVAH?

1. By his own admission. John 5:19, 30; John 7:17, John 8:42, John 12:49, John 14:28,

John 20:17, Matthew 24:36, Matthew 4:10, Matthew 7:21 etc.

2. Psalm 110:1 and 4 compared with Hebrews 6:20, 8:1, 2, 4:15, Matthew 22:41- 46.

These Scriptures show that Jesus Christ is High Priest to God. God CANNOT be

High Priest to himself can he?

3. Deuteronomy 18:18, 19 compared with John 1:19-21, 25-27; 6:14; 7:40; Acts 3:19-26

Jehovah God mentioned a Prophet that was to come similar to Moses [would liberate the people from any entanglement so they can pursue true worship of God]. This Prophet was to SPEAK only TRUTH from God himself. John 12:49, John 8:42; John 18:37, Matthew 21:9 - 11.

4. When Jesus Christ was tempted by the Devil [slanderer] to do an act of worship to him, Satan [resister], Jesus directed Satan to God's Word [Bible] saying this privilege was

God's ONLY.

Matthew 4:10, compare with Deuteronomy 6:13- 15.

5. At Matthew 27: 46 we read: And about the ninth hour, Jesus cried out with a loud voice, saying, "Eli Eli, lama sabachthani?" that is, "My God, My God, why have you forsaken me?" NKJV.

Who was this God? Yes, my friends, Jesus was speaking to Almighty God, Jehovah.

Compare Psalm 22:1.

6. There are various references of the God and Father of Jesus Christ. Please read; 1 Peter 1:3, Romans 15:6, 2 Corinthians 1:3, Ephesians 1:3, John 20:17, Revelation 1:6, 3:12, 2 Corinthians 11:31.

NOTE PLEASE that EVEN when Jesus is glorified and in heaven he refers to his God [Revelation 3:12]. N.B. God Almighty JEHOVAH, is THE MOST HIGH

[Psalm 83:18]

he CANNOT BE ELEVATED ANY HIGHER SINCE HE IS AND HAS

ALWAYS BEEN THE MOST HIGH. [Re 4:8 - 11; Hebrews 12:18 - 29 compared with Philippians 2:5 - 11.

7. Jesus is identified as taking the scroll from the hand of the One seated on the throne in the heavens [that is from God's hand]. Revelation 5: 7.

8. Jesus is compared to an angel of God, at Galatians 4:14. This is supported by Proverbs 8:22-31, Hebrews 1: 5; Hebrews 8: 1, 2; Philippians 2: 5- 11; Revelation 3:14; 1 Thess. 4: 16. Col. 1:15, John 3:13, Daniel 7: 13, 14, Micah 5: 2.

9. Almighty God is from everlasting to everlasting [Psalm 90:2, Revelation 4:10,11], He

CANNOT DIE, Jesus had to die for redemption to be a reality [John 3:16, etc.]

Nice post, most people who talk about mistranslations in the Bible and how the modern practice of Christianity doesn't agree with the original intent don't know what they are talking about. But you know your shit...just lay off the caps lock a little.
