Faith in the Unseen
People look to the heavens, crying:
"Lord, draw near to us."
The scoffers laugh,
thinking them the fools.
"Why believe?" they taunt,
rolling their eyes at God's children.
Yea, though darkness sets in,
and hope seems far away...
yet in the stillness of the moment,
Now His children shout,
for they know the Lord is at hand!
Arise! Rejoice! Thank Him for this day!
Even though it's been painful,
the Lord has never forsaken us.
He is surely there.
We feel Him in the cool breezes of the day,
and in the coo of a dove.
His hand churns the waters of the deep,
and paints the sky with luminescence.
In our weaknesses,
we are steadied by the Lord.
We may be beaten down,
but we will always get back up.
We may be rejected by man,
but are accepted by God.
We may suffer wrongdoing,
but the Lord rewards us with life eternal.
