Today's Daily words of encouragement word is Sober: Sober means unaffected by alcoholic beverages, or sober minded, or to have a rational mind about godly things. The bible states that the end of all things are at hand and we being children of God should all be sober minded; and not have our minds clouded  by alcohol or any other intoxication.Children of God should always be sober minded in all things that we do.

When we're sober minded, we're temperate, meaning calm and rational, and we should practice moderation in all things . We shouldn't be overly hot or cold but of a calm and godly temperament.  We must always pray with the soberness of mind and with and honest heart.  If we're intoxicated by other means, we can't make rational choices and decisions where God is concerned.

Being sober is not so easy in our society, creativeone59, but it is truth. We cannot hear the word of God when we are intoxicated.

It is so imperative that we live, think, and do all things with soberness of mind. Without this quality, we can really get ourselves in a whole heap of trouble -mentally, physically, and spiritually.

AMEN Creativeone. "We must always pray with the soberness of mind and with and honest heart. " AMEN!

Sobriety is practiced by all Christians. God cannot speak, lead, guide, teach or help us if we are not in the right spiritual condition.

Thank you for this sobering message from the Lord.

Forever His,
