"Faye's Daily Words Of Encouragement # 218 Today's Word Is : Wash "

Definition of the word Wash: To cleanse or remove with liquids, to bathe or launder, the process of wetting or cleansing with liquids.

2 Kings chapter 5 - 10 : And Elisha sent a messenger unto him saying go and wash in Jordan seven times and thy flesh shall be come again to thee, and thou shalt be clean.

Job chapter 9 - 30 : If I wash myself with snow water, and make my hands never so clean.

Psalms chapter 26 - 6 : I will wash mine hands in innocency: so will I compass thine alter, O Lord.

Psalms chapter 51 - 2 : Wash me thoroughly from mine iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin.

Proverbs chapter 30 - 12 : There is a generation, O how pure in their own eyes, and yet is not washed from thier filthiness.

Songs of Solomon 5 - 12 : His eyes are as the eyes of a doves by the rivers of water washed with milk, and fitly set.

Isaiah chapter 1 -16 : Behold, thou art fair, my love, yea, pleasant also our bed is green.

Jeremiah chapter 4 - 14 : O Jerusalem , wash thine heart from wickedness, that thou mayest be saved . How long shall thy vain thoughts lodge within thee.

1 Corinthians chapter 6 - 11 : And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the spirit of our God.

Hebrews chapter 10 22 : Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water.

Revelation chapter 1 - 5 : And Jesus Christ , who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of kings of the earth, unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood.

Today's daily words of encouragement word is: wash, which means to cleanse ourselves by washing with water. We cleanse ourselves by washing with soap and water, but when we're baptized by water, our sins are being washed away an we 're cleanse by the pure water. I loved it when king Daviid said, wash me so I can be whiter than snow. When we come to God from the heart, he carry us through a cleansing process, first with water, then by the word of God.

Our bodies and minds are cleanse by water that washes us clean from our iniquities. When we are baptized in the name f the father, the son and the holy spirit, we're are cleanse by the water of baptismal and our spirtual temple is clean and holy.

I've noticed that the Hebrews had a lot of washing and bathing ceremonies that I only became aware of recently from watching the History channel.

Great hub. I am reminded of the laver. the priests had to stop by the laver to wash up before administering their duties. Wen we pray we also must come by the laver in confession and repentance. Purge me with hysop and I shall be clean the Psalmist said. I am so glad the precious blood of Jesus speaks forever at the mercy seat in my behalf, without this atonement , I am sunk. God bless you and thanks for the reminder.
