We know that we consume every day by eating and drinking; for self preservation, but I have learn ed through studing Gods word: that we can destroy other by consuming and devouring them. This is not the type of consumption that God doesn't want us involved with. God wants us to love one another with pure hearts and not destroy each other. Let us beware of Gods consuming fire; it's only by his mercies and compassion's that we are not consumed by his fire. Sometimes we are hatred, malice, jealousy, envy, fornication , murder, lies, lusts are just some of the consumptions that destroys the mind and the body, and it's all the work of Satan.
If God Wanted to send his consuming fire from heaven to destroy us for our sins, there would be no way we could stop him. But since we have such a loving and caring God; with mercy and compassion's for us: we don't have to worry about the consuming fire of God, hurting us. we all have to live godly lives according to his word and everything else will be alright. Let us strive for perfection in him who made us.
