John chapter 15 -5 : I am the vine, ye are the branches; he that abideth in me, and I in him, the same  bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye are nothing.

John chapter 15 -6 : If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gotten then, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned.

Today's  daily word of encouragement is Branch, God is the tree of life, Jesus is the vine and the children of God is the branches. When we receive Jesus Christ as our Saviour, get and baptised; we become one with God and we're grafted into the tree of life.  all trees have branches, but  if they become diseased and stop growing; they are cut away from the tree and cast into the fire and burned because they have become unproductive . It work the same way with the children of God; we have to be flourishing branches, sprouting out and making a difference in this world we live in.  If we are unproductive branches, and we don't produce fruit a there no us for us.

Since we're branches grafted into the tree of God, we want to always be flourishing branches that bears good fruit for the kingdom of God, so, we don't be cut down, and cast into the burning fire. Do you have flourishing branches that's bearing good fruit.?

Creativeone, Very thought provoking hub! Nice job! It is so very important to stay connected to the vine! "I am the vine, ye are the branches; he that abideth in Me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without Me ye are nothing." Amen!

Thank you for sharing, In His love & Blessings!

I constantly ask myself if I'm doing enough in God's service. It's easy to become stagnant in our service due to the fact that there is so much going on around us. This is a good reminder that we should set and keep our priorities straight.
