Definition of the word Wait : Means to anticipate, to pause, to slay or postpone or to remain in expectation of what ever, or to wait your turn.

Genesis chapter 49 - 18 : I have waited for thy salvation, O lord.

2 King chapter 6 33 : And while he ye, yet talked with them, behold, the message came down unto him and said, behold this evil is of the Lord; what should I wait for Lord any longer.

There's an old saying that the old folk use to say all the time,"Good things come to those that wait". To wait is to have patience, waiting for the outcome of a particular situations. The bible tells us to wait on the Lord and he will save us, it also says our soul waiteth for the Lord, he's our shield and help.

The bible says not to recompense evil, but wait on thep Lord and he shall save thee. If we wait upon the Lord he will renew our strength,and we shallmount up our wings as eagles, and shall run, and not be weary; and shall walk and not faint.I say wait on the Lord in your endeavers, and he will n ot disappoint us. I say wait on the Lord and he will not fail you.
