Proverbs chapter 8 - verse 13: The fear of the Lord is to hate evil; pride and arrogancy, and the evil way, and the forward mouth, do I hate.
Jeremiah chapter 49 - 16 : Thy terribleness hath decieved thee, and the pride of thine heart, O thou that dwellest in the clefts of the rock, that holdest the height of the hill: though thou shouldest make the nest as high as the eagles, I will bring the down from thence, saith the Lord.
Psalms chapter 31 - verse : Thou shalt hide them in the secret of the presence from the pride of men: thouh shalt keep them secretly in a pavillion from the strife of tongues.
Definiion of the word pride: Self esteem, hautiness, disdain.
Hautiness: is proud, arrogant, contemptuous of others
Disdain: is to treat with contempt.
It's Okay to have some self esteem, or some pride, but having to much pride or being overly zealous is a detriment to us. God hate prideful people, he hate people that's arrogan,deceitful, covetousness, wickedness, foolisheness, murderers, fornicators, and blasphmers because these are all traits of pride; and they are all brought to fruition from the thoughts of men.
The bible tells us, that it's not what goes into the body that defiles a man, but what comes out of the body that defiles a man. we as children of God have to be careful of our thoughts and actions, down here on earth, because God in heaven; will hold us accountable for our thoughts and actions. We should pattern our thoughts and actions after Jesus Christ . If we are thinking of healthy and wholesome thoughts, than we want do any harm to our fellow man or our brother and sister in Jesus Christ.
