Daily meditation of Gods word keeps you in tune to God.
Daily meditation of Gods word keeps you in tune to God.

"Faye's daily words of encouragement" # 43 Todays word is: Meditate"

Definition of the word Meditate:  To deliberate or consider:  To spend time in quiet contemplation; reflective thoughts.

Psalms  chapter 63 - 6 : when I remember thee upon my bed, and meditate on thee in the night watch.

1 Timothy chapter 4 - 15 : Meditate upon things; give thyself wholly unto them, that thy profiting may appear to all.

Isiah chapter 33- 18 : Thine heart meditate terror.  Where is the scribe? where is the receive? Where is he that counted the towers.

Luke chapter 21 - 14 :Settle it therefore in your hearts, not to meditate before what ye  shall answer.

We all should have a period of meditation each day, if it's no than five to ten minutes a day to give thanks and praises to God and meditate on Jesus.  we all have our television times, so we should set a side some quality time for a little meditation prayer with Jesus; every day. The bible tells us to pray without ceasing, and we should have the same mind about our meditating time with Jesus.

There should never be a time the we don't have some kind of prayer visitation time with Jesus. He does deserve some of our time, considering that it was he that made us and not we ourselves.  So, with diligence let us meditate on him each and every day.

Creativeone59,

Wonderful! Great words of encouragement! I agree with TimeHealsAll! Meditation for me is spending quiet time with the Lord! I start each day with "This is the Day that the LORD has MADE. Let us REJOICE and be glad in it." Thank you for sharing.

Blessings!

Great reminder once again creativeone59. I agree with BkCreative - we are all in such a hurry that we really need to set aside time for spirtual meditation. Like you said creativeone59, we have our television time, including times set aside for other things, so we can set aside time to "buy out the more important things."

More than ever we need to just slow down and meditate. But we just don't do it. Maybe if we just try it for 5 minutes a day and then add minutes to it. I promise myself I will and then forget.

Your hub is a good reminder. I'll take a deep breathe right now and try it! Thank you!

I so agree with you, creativeone59, to put some time aside where you sit down to reflect and meditate. Thanks for your hub.

This is a most inspiring hub Faye. Meditation is giving ourselves wholly to God our creator, our father, our comfortor. Meditation puts us in touch with God at the highest level. Our total focus is in him because there can bo no distraction in meditation. This is a great subject! Thank you Faye!!
